Some context would be helpful, dude. In this age of twitter-like gratification, as long as I have more than 140 characters, I hope you can spare more of your cognitive abilities to let me know what it is about Priest songs that you would like me to comment about. Make it worthwhile as an online social interaction or just bugger off ... peace.

So, I was just reading this thread and discovered if you read it backwards you can hear a voice say, "You must kill Scott Stapp." :twisted:Like a book among the many on a shelf...

I was asking for clarification and sensitizing members of our public fora to providing context to queries we pose. Some see it as being negative, but I go beyond such dualistic typologies (negative vs. non-negative, black vs. unblackened, good vs. bad, etc.) and see things in a greyer light. I make no apologies and to top it off, I am easily ignored. As usual, peace...dcfaithful wrote:satanrules616 wrote:You still did not give me any context, dude. Why is your question worth asking?

No kidding. It's ok, some people can find any reason to police a thread, as if each new posts costs money or takes up valuable web real estate and therefore needs to comply with some self-appointed moderator's guidelines on even the most inconsequential of topics, like Judas Priest. If they are unable to make sense of a pretty standard message pit inquiry (like, what songs do you like by this band) and are in need of more context to a simple post, perhaps they need to seek their online social interaction in a place that doesn't post such challenging topics or that bring more worthwile interactions to each and every single thread. Seriously, I've had friendly interactions on this board for nearly a decade I was just told to piss off because someone didn't like the way I posted a 'list your favorite tracks' thread. Peace? Really? How about, roll with it and just be nice to people?
Sorry to butt in, but I just don't understand what the big deal is. It's a message board...so maybe he didn't formally give a proper question e.g. "What are the best Judas Priest tracks?", is that really that important?
This is just me, but I really had no problem understanding the OP's intentions when I first opened the thread. You seem intelligent enough to catch on as well, and also to not get so hung up on such an insignificance. I don't think these threads of this type are meant to be taken so literally.0 -

Any song off of "Unleashed In The East" works for me! Glad to see a couple of people mention "Desert Plains." That song, as well as the whole "Point of Entry" record is seriously under-rated in the Judas Priest catalog. "Painkiller" is absolutely off the charts, and "Judas Rising" is an absolutely amazing song at this point in their career. Good, old school metal."Hello Oregonians. Hello Washingtonians. Hello Portland..where the fuck are we? We're in Ridgefield!"0

Amen brother.
This is the album where they took it completely over the top. More drums, more guitar notes per second, more screeching. Faster and louder than any Priest album before it. Fucking insane. I love it.
PAIN!!!
There is a really good cover of it by a band called "Death". If you like Priest's version, you will love theirs. I definitely agree this was a turning point for them.0 -

How was there no love Screaming?
Dont think songs from that record made the list.
For that, I'll go with Screaming for Vengence,, with Fever as honorable mention.
Sooo many great fucking songs. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
Yes!
That whole record defines heavy metal.
