i am from heidelberg, germany.
comin to ny just for the two shows......
98, 2008 too.
so am i a bad guy?
you are welcome!
i've traveled all over, and have seen pearl jam in 6 different countries and numerous other states. i am thankful for those experiences, and happy for anyone else to experience the same in my city. and ya know what? all those 'out of towners' guarantee i get the worst 10c seats, consistently, at my hometown shows.....but that's a-ok. i think of myself as VERY fortunate; it's a trade-off.....we get a LOT of shows, but yea...people travel from ALL over for em! i'll take it!
"locals" get shut out of shows all the time, no matter where "local" may be. and let's be real, even if left open only to tri-staters, people would still be shut out. the NE has THE greatest concentration of 10clubbers. it's simply the math of the situation.
oh and i am a native NYer, born and bred...and i scored for both MSGs.
and yes i realize, i am VERY lucky!
you bet - i AM thankful for it!Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -

i was side stage where she was standing. A few times, Eddie looked at the score and shook his head for her not to come out. It's too bad because it would've been great to hear all the moans in the crowd. I'm not a fan of Phillies fans, or any Philly sports team for that matter.Fighting childhood obesity...

i stopped goin through 10c for tickets long ago.
1) my shitty membership number due to lack of renewing in my college years
2) too much trouble buying tickets online
3) don't have the money to pay for a pair of $85 tickets
4) i honestly don't mind general admission seats (esp. at amphitheatres)
5) i always seemed to get placed in the infamous drunk asshole section of the 10club seats.
i save myself trouble and by not going through 10c i slightly improve another members chances of scoring tickets...world keeps spinnini'll trade you my tee shirt for a grilled cheese0 -

yup, 4 hours and 20 minutes. and no tickets to show for it.
this was bad.
Should have tried longer. I scooped a pair to MSG2 at 7:300 -

i have been in the 10c since 2003...gotten tickets through the 10c...and have seen the same issues for every presale....which leads me to the Einstein quote...
obviously they need to spend some $$$ on better servers....
I don't think the Ten Club ever expects different results though. We do. We're the insane ones. Not them. I'm gonna assume these were probably not the first MSG shows 80-90% of us have ever attempted to get tickets through the fan club for. So why would we think it was gonna go smooth?
And actually, I'd have to say that the ten club was expecting the same results as last time. Otherwise they wouldn't have given us that special "bottleneck" message in the announcement.0 -
i'm bumping this because i don't wanta hear it. lol*~Pearl Jam will be blasted from speakers until morale improves~*0

Hey no worries, I am totally relaxed
All tongue in cheek. But I do have to make a point about seniority.
Unions are big on seniority. And all it does is breed laziness and entitlement.
How about all fan club tix assigned via lottery, although your years of active participation improve your chances moderately by a weighted ratio? Like the NBA draft...
Perhaps 10C could hire an algorithm-loving nerd to make up the formula. Then he could upgrade the servers to mid-1990s performances.0 -
What i love is this call of 'get a new server' - do any of you understand what is causing the website crashes during high loads of ticket sales? I thought not. It's not the 'server' people.0
-
It's be cool if they chimed in and you know...addressed their customers complaints and concerns like many businesses would do. Santos posted yesterday saying the $3.50 Ten Club handling Fee was a credit card charge but other than that not a word. They are usually really on top of locking threads so it would be cool if they said something to calm the masses.0

i have a post from somewhere back in the euro sales that explained it a bit more i think.
but people will not listen!

So a new "fan" with a faster internet browser should get tickets, and a 10 year veteran 10c member gets shut out twice? OK. Real fair.MANSFIELD 7/3/03, 7/11/03

all I know is that this ten club member 18xxxx got no tickets after the frustrating "out of stock"/"oops you ripped our face off" pages for the two shows in New England. Sold out-fantastic. Having to try w/the general public now, not so priceless.
I was actually willing to pay $171 - $150 per pair.
Can't wait to see what the service charge via LN or TM will be.

The price of these tickets is just getting flat out ridiculous. It doesn't bother Eddie at all that even the band's younger fans are stuck pay almost 100 fucking dollars to see a show?! It's fucking outrageous. Which day of his life in the past ten years did he wake up and say fuck it, I don't care what the fans have to pay anymore? Almost makes going to a PJ show feel a bit tainted when you have to pay out the ass for it.
I've learned that there's always PJ tickets available well under face the week of the show, so I'm sticking to that route for the time being. After being put in the 400-section in Philly, the 10C can really kiss my ass... talk about putting the venue's ticket sales before the fans!
I guess it's a good thing I love PJ so fucking much, but I do have to wonder what has become of their ideals at this point...0
