What PJ song would you want played at your funeral?

  • I've mentioned on the board before that my kids and my mother already know that when I die - PJ must be played. No need for a sermon or anyone else to speak - just play PJ. The guests will all be smiling as they know this music has spoken to me more than anyone or anything else I've encountered in my life. All else can come and go and my deep love for this music lives on.

So, long story short - I would want a compilation of the "best of PJ live" playing the entire time. Definitely on the setlist would be Release, Sad, Indifference, and I am Mine. Dang.. I could go on, and on, and on.

  • I chose some of these b/c the songs should mean something for the living who are at the funeral, like Present Tense. Funerals can be inspiring in a way.

    Long Road
    Man of the Hour
    I am Mine
    Thumbing My Way
    Just Breathe
    The End
    Present Tense
    Light Years
    Sleight of Hand

just for starters. i know there are some others i've thought of in the past.

"LONG ROAD" would be my PJ choice.

BUT....what I want played is Jeff Buckleys "Satisfied Mind". Unbelievable!

  • When my father-in-law died about four years ago, we played "Man of the Hour" at his funeral. It still makes me cry.

Ohhhh. Just listening to Come Back again (Immagine in Cornice). I am going to have to add that to my list along with All Things Must Pass (George Harrison)

Ain't it funny when things change so much, it's all state of mind?
