"LONG ROAD" would be my PJ choice.

BUT....what I want played is Jeff Buckleys "Satisfied Mind". Unbelievable!

"This one's for Shae" -Ed, right before playing SMILE for my daughter (who was 9 then) BOSTON GARDEN 5-25-06
  • I said Man of the Hour or Long Road before

    but

non-PJ I would pick Ben Harper's There will be a light
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
  • When my father-in-law died about four years ago, we played "Man of the Hour" at his funeral. It still makes me cry.

Ohhhh. Just listening to Come Back again (Immagine in Cornice). I am going to have to add that to my list along with All Things Must Pass (George Harrison)

Ain't it funny when things change so much, it's all state of mind?

Unthought Known. I want to go out on an uplifting note.

But at some point, since my plan is to be cremated with my ashes sprinkled in the harbor, I want Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic" as well.

Which show was it where Ed said that Mike had to end the show with this song or he might kill someone? And then Ed suggested Mike "start with that guy"....

Someone said Alive...I have the lyrics running through my head and that is quite fitting.

I thought Man of the Hour too, but whatever we choose, the funeral must end with mourners leaving to Yellow Ledbetter, am I right?

I refuse to have a funeral. I think they are a waste of money.

  • Man of the Hour or Oceans.
How much difference does it make?
  • Current topic in my mind as I was just thinking of this last week.
My cousin passed 2 weeks ago. He was 42 years old and had a massive heart attack.
His service was at a funeral home and he had a Christian Rock Band that he enjoyed play almost a mini concert. In closing the last song played was the original recording of Ozzy's Cray Train.

I'm a pantheist so being stuck in the bible belt was a little uncomfortable for me but hearing songs that were of importance to his life did bring a smile to my face and it triggered some great memories. With that being said on the drive home I thought about "my tribute" play list.
I want it to be a chronological experience of my life.
Born, lived, suffered, healed, accepted, relaxed, reflected.
Hard 2 Imagine and Just Breathe are there for certain.
Other notable: God Am -Alice in Chains

Now go get busy living. :)
