Me and my buddy who loves Phish and has not seen PJ live (he will return the favour with a Phish show and he is in the Phish fan club and I have not seen them live!):
Toronto to Cleveland on Saturday, go to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday, stay over, go to Jacob's Field for Detroit vs Cleveland on Sunday afternoon, Pearl Jam Sunday night, stay over, drive 3 hours to Buffalo for Monday night show then 1 1/2 hour home to T.O.
Should be a great road trip... now just need to get my Ten Club tickets and May 18th TBD to end up being Toronto ;-)
I don't think you can really call that a rock 'n' roll hall of fame, no rush...no nugent? but madonna...donna summers
?
It's something to do inbetween the beers, the ball game and more beers and Pearl Jam ;-) It'll do!0 -

Congrats to all who have a show in their backyard.
I hear you. The last Denver shows were openers for Tom Petty who played the same, boring set both nights. Glad I made it to SLC and Philly last year, and I'm hoping to make Kansas City, maybe St Louis... and a remotely possible NYC.

I've got to ask... Are the times a typo or I am just retarded?!? Kansas City is at 9 PDT? None of the shows are at night? I know PJ is getting old but come on... :shock:0

No kidding. I would seriously pee my pants if Red Rocks had been on that list.Pepsi Center - Apr 1 '03, Jul 2-3 '06 | Grant Park - Aug 05 '07 | E Center - Sep 28 '09 | Wachovia Spectrum Arena - Oct 27 '09 | Sprint Center May 3 '10 | Scottrade Center May 4 '10 | Alpine Valley - Sep 3-4, '11 | Wrigley Field - July 19, '13 | Pepsi Center Oct 22, '140 -
Another tour, another tour not in Phoenix.
Since it's Midwest heavy, you'd think they'd have a show or two at Alpine...wtf?
Yet ANOTHER year of a worthless 10c membership.0 -
I'm super excited to see Pearl Jam outside of my home city (Perth, Australia)
I'll be on a Contiki tour in May going through the US and Canada, and I'll be in Cleveland on the 9th of May as part of my tour, so instead of doing tour stuff that night with everyone else, I'll be rocking it to Pearl Jam (well I hope, assuming I can get tickets)0 -
Michigan gets screwed again! They haven't played here in 4 years! There are some people here still with jobs that want to see PJ. But again New York and Boston get more shows! WTF?0

mensane wrote:you know what would have been nice to add to this announcement?
"More dates to follow, including dates in _________" (insert things like "west coast", "the south", etc).
so people dont spend every penny they have buying tickets/airfare/rental cars/hotel rooms getting across the country only to have dates announced in their neck of the woods next week.
I think you got a really good point. I really don't get this tour, you release a new album, you're suppose to promote it and tour off it properly. Somehow I suspect more shows in August, but why not just announce the whole tour at once.I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... i'm happy for the midwest though
i echo this sentiment, although i'm not sure i'm even doing jazzfest. i'm very glad they are hitting cities in the midwest they haven't done in a while, but for myself personally, the announcement was underwhelming. you could add dallas and phoenix to the highly shunned large city list. it is odd to me that they continually skip certain big metro areas and keep going back to other places over and over.
but i am happy for the peeps in missouri, ohio and indiana at getting shows. i'll keep waiting patiently.
Do you think politics plays a part in this? Dallas=Bush, Arizona=McCain, just wondering :? Of course I live closest to the Detroit market, very Democratic, no shows since '06, I was hoping for a show downtown, if their out for helping people who need help a concert downtown Detroit would be nice, and derserving.I have certain rules I live by ...
