Wish they'd come to Charlotte - though it's a bit much to ask. But somewhere in the Carolinas would be awesome!! Guess I'll have to see how far the VA show is!"I know that I was born and I know that I will die, the in between is mine. I am mine."

Uh, Chicago isn't missing from that list....they've had shows 3 times in about 2.5 years.
I'm happy to see them again, and I'm willing to travel to do it, but its still disappointing to hear people who have to drive 2 hours complain when both my trips this year require a flight. As far as I'm concerned, if you live in PA and NYC, you're set for a few years. By my count, the NYC area and eastern PA area has had 10+ shows in the last 2 years within 4 hours or less driving distance, depending on where you live. For a guy whose flown over 2000 miles and driven 12 hours--twice--and seen PJ in his home state less times than he's seen them elsewhere, its not unreasonable to want a little more regional variation in the tours.1998-06-30 Minneapolis

Congrats to all who have a show in their backyard.
I hear you. The last Denver shows were openers for Tom Petty who played the same, boring set both nights. Glad I made it to SLC and Philly last year, and I'm hoping to make Kansas City, maybe St Louis... and a remotely possible NYC.Pepsi Center - Apr 1 '03, Jul 2-3 '06 | Grant Park - Aug 05 '07 | E Center - Sep 28 '09 | Wachovia Spectrum Arena - Oct 27 '09 | Sprint Center May 3 '10 | Scottrade Center May 4 '10 | Alpine Valley - Sep 3-4, '11 | Wrigley Field - July 19, '13 | Pepsi Center Oct 22, '140 -

OK I got it planned!!!
Me and my buddy who loves Phish and has not seen PJ live (he will return the favour with a Phish show and he is in the Phish fan club and I have not seen them live!):
Toronto to Cleveland on Saturday, go to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday, stay over, go to Jacob's Field for Detroit vs Cleveland on Sunday afternoon, Pearl Jam Sunday night, stay over, drive 3 hours to Buffalo for Monday night show then 1 1/2 hour home to T.O.
Should be a great road trip... now just need to get my Ten Club tickets and May 18th TBD to end up being Toronto ;-)0 -
I'm just so happy about this announcement. Trying to figure out if I should go to Cleveland or DC (I'm about midway between the 2). I do understand a lot of disappointment from fans who have been ignored, and I do feel lucky to live close enough to the northeast, but all this whining
Put it this way, if the shows were on the West Coast, then I guess I'd be hopping my butt on an airplane. I know not everyone can do that...(nor can I really $$ :( )
It's a happy day0 -
