    great song but I dont think its about a break up, I think its about somebody wanting you, and youre keeping them on the hook but you know youre never gonna be with them becuase they have too many issues, and it could go either way, I think its told from a perspective that could be either person.

    yeah I agree EW, I always thought this song was from the perspective of one who is totally into a girl and loves everything about her and she was taken in his past but now she is available and wants him and is totally messed us (hence the drugs wont make you feel better) but right now, while she is single, he is with someone and he knows deep down, that he will disapoint her if he actually became her boyfriend
