Seriously, see this man live if you ever get a chance. Bottom line: he rocks big time! I was 3 feet in front of him at a gig last night and I'm still bouncing of of the walls! He's also a super nice guy and takes the time to hang out with his fans before/after shows.

:!: Amazing :!:

    Husker Du rock!
Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/2014
  • Husker Du does indeed rock! Bob has been playing lots of HD heavy set lists lately, along with a nice sprinkling (pun intended) of Sugar songs thrown in the mix.

    Love ya, Bob!

As much as I love Husker Du (and I Du ;) ), Sugar was my favorite era of Bob. But his solo stuff is excellent too (Body of Song and District Line are highly underrated/unrecognized).

    Great performer! Great songwriter!

I think Dave Grohl should thank Bob Mould in the liner notes of every Foo Fighter record.

    Bob - fucking- Mould!!!!

This dude just might put out my favorite music, behind Pearl Jam. Where'd you get to see him? Far as I know, he doesn't hit the West coast often (if at all).

A guy from the old board (transplant - self proclaimed #1 Mould fan  ) sent this link to me yesterday. 10 bucks, killer setlist, free shipping. Only 1600 copies printed; get it while you can!

Bob and band played at a place called the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland. It's a great little venue with a nice restaurant and a "rock 'n rollish" sort of hotel attached to it, and two bars. Good place to catch a show and a buzz and not have to drive home.

Bob hung out for awhile just chatting with people and is right on par with the members of PJ as far as being down to earth and acting like he really appreciates the people that come out to see him.

And the Live At ATP cd is insanely good!

It IS "insanely good"!!

So.............I burned a copy for a buddy. He emails me to say "yeah, I fucking love it. From his music, you'd never guess Mould is openly gay." I about spit out my coffee :lol: . "Openly gay"????? WTF?? So, transplant from the old board (#1 Mould fan) confirms it and tells me "get ready for this, Grant Hart is gay too."

It's just too funny.....I couldn't care less...but now I'm thinking "Husker Du = Pet Shop Boys"? :wtf: :lol: Husker Du/Sugar/Bob Mould kick ass like few others; then or now.

I saw Husker Du at roughly the same time. I remember after the show, the three of them came outside, jumped into an old Ford Econoline w/Minnesota plates and took off.

Just added See a Little Light to my 80's Modern Rock playlist last week.

Never really heard much from Husker Du, I think they were a bit before I was into that scene and don't know any big fans. Suggestions for albums?
