I don't know this nonsense of Seattle crowds, but as far as I've seen, we've had some pretty kick ass shows here. I mean, it's great seeing them at Benaroya, and the Key. The Showbox was brilliant, and of course the Gorge... Back in the day, Seattle was notorious for having some of the best shows in the West. We still do, the Key is a great venue, and I would love nothing more than to see PJ there again. You know where else would be great? Lake Union! They could also play at Memorial Stadium. I've seen Ed and Matt there before.
Don't let the world bring you down, not everyone here is that fucked up and cold. Remember why you came and while you're alive, experience the warmth before you grow old.

Best two days of my life: Oasis at MSG and Pearl Jam at the Gorge.

quest field was designed to be LOUD when Paul Allen had it built.... it is acoustically designed to echo, making it a GREAT stadium for football, Loudest crowd in the NFL...... but SHITTY for music, the Stones/Dave Matthews show sounded TERRIBLE.. echoes, distorted.... jut a fucking MESS!

And this year Ed probably told the Vancouver 2 crowd that the Vancouver 1 crowd was shit. And probably told the Santa Cruz crowd that the Vancouver 2 crowd was shit. And probably told the Berekely 1 crowd that the Santa Cruz crowd was shit. And proably told the Berekely 2 crowd that the Berkeley 1 crowd was shit, etc, etc, ad naseum. That's his schtick. It shouldn't be taken seriously.
Yep, he said Van 1 crowd was shit at Van 2. But Van 1's crowd IMO was better.

  • Even if a venue is too small for Pearl Jam.. It would be amazing if they were to play in a place like the Showbox! It would be nuts! I love the Showbox primarily on how personal it is with the musician(s) and the fact that you're basically inches away from them if up front.

they were... i don't have words to describe it. yeah, PJ at the showbox kicked ass. It was 2004, Vote For a Change? I stood outside for hours before Tom said I could go in. I was directly in front of Mikey, and the great part was that he recognized me! I had met him the year before at Bumbershoot. Come on PJ... play SEATTLE!!! My last time, here in the states. Then you can go on a HUGE Europe tour and I'll be there, at every show.

  • How weird would it be if pj ended up playing the tacoma dome? I swear that thing looks like a giant breast.

Never gonna happen.. I remember years ago like 10 or 12, One of the guys ruled out ever playing there. Let's face it the T-DOME is THE worst venue in the NW for concerts.

I disagree (although its certainly nothing special). I would say that the clark county amphitheater, columbia meadows and the white river amphitheater are all worse than the tacoma dome.

Columbia isn't that bad. It's just not in a very accessible location.

And a solid golf course :)

I'm still bitter about Ed not finding a venue in Portland.

Well there has to be a reason. Seattle has been neglected. Ed knows it, he even mentioned it during his five buck shows. When was the last time the band played there... Easy Street?

BTW just got my tour poster book... awsome

I think PJ should do a Seattle tour.

They could sell package tickets, 4 nights, 3 nights, 2 nights, and singles.

The Moore, The Paramount, Memorial Stadium, and Qwest Event Center.
  • I agree, WA, OR, BC and ID fan club members only
