    KYUSS

    OR

    PRIMUS
  • H. by Tool.

    Track 3 off Aenima.

For whatever reason, I found myself getting on board with all things Maynard James Keenan lately...except for the Puscifer project. I'm not sold on that yet.

Most humans can't play Claypool's work. I've never seen anyone pull it off. The man is God in regards to a bass guitar. Strange since Primus sucks monkey dick.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overrated in my book. Alot of it is his big obnoxious bass sound.
  • May not be one of the best or anything special at all but the bass at the beginning of Metallica's 'The God That Failed' is some of the most bad ass shit I have ever heard
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

He's not overrated. I don't like his music but as far as bass goes, he's the Jimi Hendrix of that shit. I know of no other musicians who disagree with that. Metallica turned him down because he was too good for them.

I get what you're saying though. Either you're moved or not by certain music. Radiohead does nothing for me because of Yorke's high pitched woman voice. Millions of people love them. I don't. Then again, it's my earhole so who cares?

Long story short, Claypool is great at bass but his band can suck my ass.

"Starless"-King Crimson....the bass lines in the coda are dynamic.
