The final results for the Into the Wild Survivor game have been tabulated, and we have a winner! The championship round ended up with one song leaving the other far behind in the voting, showing the true dominance of the winner.

Before we get to the winner, let's recap the round-by-round results:

Round 1: The Wolf ELIMINATED
Round 2: Tuolomne ELIMINATED
Round 3: End of the Road ELIMINATED
Round 4: Long Nights ELIMINATED
Round 5: Setting Forth ELIMINATED
Round 6: Rise ELIMINATED
Round 7: Hard Sun ELIMINATED
Round 8: Society ELIMINATED
Round 9: No Ceiling ELIMINATED

That left Far Behind and Guaranteed to battle for the title of the ultimate Into the Wild Survivor. There were 136 votes casts in the final round.

The final tally was:
Far Behind - 43 votes
Guaranteed - 93 votes

The winner is Guaranteed!

(On a side note, I'm wondering where these Survivor games should be taken next. Any ideas?

On a side note to the side note, I'm wondering if these albums were played through again, whether a song such as, say, "Arc" might last longer due to Eddie's mindblowing performances of the song at his solo shows...)

    Sweet!
    Thanks for that round of Survivor! All of them have been great.
    I'm not sure what the next Survivor should be, but I definitely enjoy having them around! Maybe best Christmas single? You could divide them into two parts or something? Then join them together when there's enough to join them together...and we'd have the best ones square off? Just a thought! :)

    i was thinking about where to go with this as well
    {if (work != 0) {
    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}
  • Maybe Mad Season, Temple of the Dog and such?

    Any boots that most of us have? Maybe that's stupid cause there are so many, but I was thinking - like State College?

    Thanks again for doing this, it's great.

    you could do a survivor with all the albums or
    a "reverse" survivor....voting off the LEAST favorites
    So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream

    wouldnt reverse just be the first one voted off in regular survivor?

    i would be down for doing side projects and maybe if we move it to the "other music section" we could do some other bands that alot of us are into (soundgarden, AIC, radiohead, etc)

    At some point you will need to play Ultimate Survivor, or some name similar to that one, where all the winners battle it out to see who is the ultimate survivor...

    No Ceiling was my favorite song from ITW. I believe it made the final 4, which was pretty good place I thought.

  • Sweet deal.

    I really don't like Far Behind. Love the song except for when Ed sings far beeehiiiiind. Voice sounds so bad. He sounds constipated.

    Do the posters

    do the posters

    do the posters!!!

    each tour broken up into rounds......

    like 2007 - in three heats......and likewise for 2006 - with more heats as more posters, say 8 at a time....

    Hooray for Guaranteed!

    How about best live version of Even Flow? It's only been played a little over 600 times, that would be a quick one. ;)

    Seriously though, I like the idea of taking the Survivor game to Other Music and doing albums from other bands.
