I am a big fan of both, but for separate reasons. I will be that there are U.S. dates in 2010. When, I don't know but because the album came out recently and they really haven't toured yet, I think the band feels compelled to tour, especially since the album hit number 1 I believe on the charts. I wish I remember the clues on the 10 Club when dates may be forthcoming, but it had something to do with either the Goods section or Tour section that when it's about to be updated, usually a day or two before those sections look different from before. Anyone remember the clues?0

see home page. If Mike is playing in Seattle in late April, I guess that means no dates around then?0

But a tour routing is still a work in progress, due to Cameron's prior commitments to play with Pearl Jam in the spring and summer of next year.

I say they're waiting until next week, Wednesday possibly Thursday to announce dates with 10C onsale the following week. Of course I'm on vacation the "following week" so I'm soooo hoping this is true, but I really do think it's happening. If they're playing Jazzfest the first week of May I doubt there will be no other tour dates around that time. Jazzfest may be big but I can't imagine it's as big of a money maker as Lollapalooza, and honestly 07 was a rarity for PJ touring if you look at their history. People aren't going to be quite as willing to spend the cash to travel this year to the one and only US show as they were in 07.2006: Boston I, Camden II

I still have my Lolla ticket from 2007 since my flight from Laguardia never took off and I never got out there. Sucked. Anyway, my March prediction (pg13 of this post i think?) was half true since they are playing SNL that night. Too bad it isn't somewhere private like that. It funny...the Given to Fly section is for touring news, right? I always use to think it meant that the band was given to fly and tour around the world.
Well, now it seems more like they are asking their fans to fly all over to see them since they don't do proper tours anymore. Wouldn't be as bad if they gave some notice too...but alas, we get what we get.
I think Backspacer will fall by the wayside for most fans unless they get a chance to hear a Backspacer tour. There will be nothing to attach the songs on the album too without it.hippiemom = goodness0
