Experience with 10C - sweet or sour?

I've had nothing but good experiences with the Ten Club. Sure there have been shows that I didn't get tickets to, but I just got them from Ticketmaster and still got to see the show. More often than not, I've been able to get them from TC. More importantly though, when I've had problems--mail lost my Austin poster and Backspacer cd, they understood and resent the items with tracking numbers so I could follow them. Even over the past summer when they sent my daughter an extra onesie, they were nice enough to just let us keep it.
I get that you're(OP) upset and thinking about quitting, but consider before you do--this is a fan club. Look around the music world and see what other bands go to these lengths for their die hard fans? All it says we are entitled to by signing up is two newsletters, a Xmas single, and the opportunity to buy tickets. Not sure about you, but I've always gotten a lot more than that out of it. We get to order cds/records/singles before they come out, posters before the shows, special clothing items and stickers, etc.
Best of luck with whatever decision you make.0 -

-Locking threads is complete BS
-Untimeliness of everything - holiday single and deep mag
-No benefit from ordering products from 10c instead of retail - Target and Backspacer Vault downloads
-Being the last place on the entire web to post data we end up knowing for days from other sites
-Announcing tour dates - that was such bs last year when the two night in Philly 10/28 and 10/30 two weeks later turned into two more nights - I would have only of had to miss work for 1 day instead of 3 if they just announced them all at once
-The 10c website compared to the rest of the wold is way lame
sweet
-Talking to all you friendly folks
-Getting presale tickets
-Getting better seats at venues
-Making VINYL available again for each release including 45's
-The holiday single
-Deep magazine
-The way the 10c personel go above and beyond to answer any questions and help with any needs
-The way the 10c personel go above and beyond to answer any questions and help with any needs
-it only cost $20
Exactly what I would have said, however, I would add:
sweet
15 months to pay your $20 +1 time extension if you forget beyond that point (don't ask how I know)
I wish they would keep us in the loop on things especially the Soundgarden/Matt situation, just tell us he's not leaving and its a summer thing and everything will be fine? Obviously just cause we're in a club doesn't obligate them to tell us much of anything but it would be nice once in awhile.0 -

I've never sat worse then 4th row in the past 12 years, so it is all sweet for me. Xmas singles and magazines, or lack there of, are just gravy to me.
I have always said that the relationship between the 10C and the members is not the typical business relationship. Both sides must tolerate imperfections.
If members feel as if things won't improve to their liking, the smart consumer move would be to take their business elsewhere.0 -
[/quote]and one word....ELVIS!! he was the king baby! (i love Zeppelin!!!
) yeah...you guys have done well....but none of those bands blew up untill America embraced them!

BIGGEST misnomer out there! Elvis was only the "King" because Chuck Berry paved the way for him."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience." Mark Twain0 -

pfffffffffff...chuck berry couldn't sing for shit!!!!!!!!!!
...and we all know that rock started as rhythm and blues in the deep south (of AMERICA)by black men.....1/2 of Zeppelin's shit is ripped off from that time!0 -

Maybe he couldn't sing, in your opinion, but no one was playing "rock & roll" in America on stage until Chuck grabbed a 6 string. BTW- Chuck is a black man, so point taken! Elvis was the white beneficiary of the times."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience." Mark Twain0 -

Overall the good outweighs the bad.
The good:
Access to great tickets
Trying to spread the wealth through the ticket lottery
Customer service - especially with email
Hooking up memers with limited edition goodies
The bad:
Ticket distribution systme is ridiculous. See the Dave Matthews Band for ideas on how to do it right...at least in terms of the ticket request process.
Complete lack of information. Would it hurt to post a quick update on the Philly Boots and US tour situations?
