Hey so how do the wristbands for the posters work? I'm going to Mansfield 1 and for sure want a poster. This is my first PJ Show since 2003. Any advice to secure myself one? Thanks!

you go to the table before the show, pay for the poster and they will slap a wristband on you.

after the show, kindly return to the table, turn in your wristband, and they will present you with a poster.

Advice? Get there early and bring a taser.

Yes, he speaks the truth. Its incredibly easy. At Camden it was no trouble at all.

If gates at Mansfield open at 6:00 (made that up, no idea what time they really open), do I really need to be in line well before 6 AND fight my way to a booth? If I go in at 7, well before the opening act, can I just walk right up and buy one?

I dont know how different Mansfield will be from Camden. But for Camden I meandered my way over well after the gates opened and easily walked up to a stand and got a wristband. I dont know what time I entered for night one, but night 2 I wasnt in until about 6:45.

But it could be completely different.

edit: I think night I was about 7. I think gates opened at 6:30 and I remember a lot of people waiting at the gates for them to open.

go to the special windows for 10 club anytime after 2 or 3 (whenever they open. At Camden they had a window for last names A-D, E-J, and so on. You give your ID, they give you your tickets. You go off and do what you want.

Gates here opened at 6:30. You go in. Anyone attending can go up to a souvinir stand and pay for a poster. They give you a wristband.

At the end of the show, you go to a stand (the same stand I believe), and present your wristband. They cut it off in exchange for a poster and you are on your way.

the only thing is Im not sure but Im assuming there is a 1-poster limit per person. Looking back I should have gotten an extra one each show for my GF for trading purposes.

I may have gotten lucky with the 1st show I dont know, and the fact that the poster was virtually the same with slightly different coloring the second night might have made it more available later the 2nd night.

I would suggest getting in early. Especially based on the poster-hysteria at the MSG shows. It doesnt sound like the stands were very well organized there and it looks like there was some slippery business going on there.
