I got a record player! Stoked
I came to work today and found 2 $50 gift certs on my desk from my boss to Street Light records. So I bought a record player for exactly $100 and a $5 Devo Live record. Playing it now and stoked to finally have something to play all my vinyl on. There are so many Xmas singles and my Benny Vinly I can't wait to play.
Happy today. : ) :P

Oh, and when you come back to the pit, please don't start a new topic about how great vinyl sounds. Do a search. There are probably 100 such threads.

Stoked to have that evening you had recently when I'm in my new spot. Hit me up if you come to SF and lets PJ party.
I just got a record player for Christmas, and promptly put on records that I've had for years. MAN, THEY SOUND SOOOO GOOD!!!
Seriously, though, they do. But more importantly, I've listen to all the albums so much that other than Backspacer they've been put on the backburner. I just generally listen to live stuff, because I'll never be caught up on it all. And I found that I mostly only listened to music when I was driving. I used to at work also, but got laid off on 9/11, so not so much anymore.
Anyway, two main things have happened. I listen to music in my house more. I know I always could have, but there's something nice about being stoked about listening 25 minutes at a time. Most importantly, I've rediscovered albums I haven't listened to in a while. I listened to Vitalogy so many times when I was a teenager that I took it for granted. Love it again. And Live on Two Legs! Freaking great, even though many of the songs are ones I've seen two dozen times. I haven't even cracked open my Lost Dogs yet, or Riot Act for that matter. I'll get back to you. And congrats, by the way. Enjoy.
Viva La Vinyl. Oh...and BOY DO THESE VINYLS SOUND GOOD!
I'll have to comfort myself with Lost Dogs. I'm just sad that the 3 year old is asleep, so I can't give it proper volume.
I'll have to look into getting my hands on Devo. We have a record convention here on the 31st, and I've never been interested before. Needless to say, I will be attending. The only thing about vinyl that sucks (especially new) is that it's so expensive. And I need to have it. My wife thinks I'm on crack, and I think she might be right. But at least I get to keep my teeth.
