Any JA fans out there: if I'm not into Ritual, is there another album I should get that might make it click for me?
Might as well try Nothing's Shocking.

I love Strays, minus Hypersonic.Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"

I first saw Janes Addiction in 1988 when they supported Fields of The Nephilim at Brixton academy in London. I was in the front row and I didn't know who they were. There were two support acts and the first band was jeered and spat off stage. Anyway, Janes Addiction blew the fucking roof off the place. They were incredible. I turned to someone behind me afterward and asked what the name of the band was. I then bought 'Nothings Shocking' a week later. I saw them 4 more times after that. One of the best live bands I've ever seen.0

Nice. I only saw them after the reunion: 1997, 2001, 2004. All 3 were incredible shows. I also saw Porno For Pyros once (got to meet Perry, Stephen and a guy filling in on bass by the name of....Mike Watt).Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"

I saw them on the Ritual and Strays tours... The Ritual gig was one of the best gigs I've ever been to, full of energy at the relatively small Newcastle Mayfair. Still reckon Nothing's Shocking is their best album though!!Astoria Crew
