Whats everyone opinion?
Been Caught Stealing obviously was the song that made these guys big.
For me though the highlight is Three Days. What an epic. I remember a roommate playing it for me for the first time. That bass lick at the start and then that guitar riff throughout, about knocked me off my feet.

Jane's is an epic band...and they STILL rock the hell out of ya!!"If you want a friend, feed any animal." - JA
"Don't let it get you down, you know, still give your love, just give it away...I love singin' that part." - EV0 -
All of the 'side 2' Xiola mini-concept is pure perfection.... Been Caught Stealing is the weakest track, but still a good one....an all-time album for me.
my sex and my drugs and my rock and roll.....0 -
Three Days is easily my favorite track on the album....the live version on KETTLE WHISTLE is something out of this world. They are truly an amazing live act. I agree with whoever said Been Caught Stealing is the weakest track on the album...usually the only one I skip.
I think that album, and that song alone showcases Navarro's ability to play an awesome guitar.7/2/06 - Denver, CO
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1

Three Days is one of their best songs to date! I agree though I do tend to skip Been Caught Stealin.
I was so stoked to see them this past summer on the NIN/JA tour, and when they opened with Three Days they just took it over the top.If there were no Angels would there be no sin?0 -

What a great album, I bought this back in '91 on tape and it changed everything musically for me.
3 days is one of my all time favourites.0 -
I fucken hate this fake ass band!!!! Saw them last year with NIN and I was pissed NIN played first!!! Dave's a fucken drag queen clown!!! We left the show before they even finished there set. Best part of the show,Dave asks a girl in the 5th row if she wants to come back stage and she says NO!! She tells him she's there with her boyfriend!!! Good for her and hahaha for Dave!! NIN shouldve headlined that tour period!!! Fuck janes addiction, and fuck that Perry ferrell sell out!!! Lollapolloza went from a great idea to a money making machine and Perry sold us out!! Attack my thread all u want, this band sux!!!!0

"Three Days" --> "Then She Did" is just about as epic of a 1-2 punch as you will find on any album ever made.Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"0 -

Easy there killer.
Regardless of how they all ended up after the breakup, J.A. was the real deal back in the day. They made no apologies for being over the top glam and L.A. style...that was the whole point. It was decadent, artistic, rock and f'ing roll, and unique.
Lollapalooza turned into a money making machine, sure. What was Perry supposed to do? The thing was a steamroller. Who turns down a few bucks? You can't have the Butthole Surfers and Ministry year after year. They expanded their horizons and eventually that is what tore it down for a few years: it got too big for its own good. You're gonna blame Perry for that? Relax man.
Say what you will about Strays and even Kettle Whistle (I love both), but Self-titled/Shocking/Ritual are incredible rock/alt albums.Post edited by BinFrog onBright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"

Ritual blew me away the first time I heard it back in 91 and I still love it.
Oh, and badbrains, NIN is one of my all time favorite bands, but I must say when I saw them on the NINJA tour Jane's had way more energy and put together a better show all around. Thank goodness for the "other final" wave goodbye tour"He who hears music, feels his solitude peopled at once" R. Browning0 -

This reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld's excessive use of the exclamation point...7/2/06 - Denver, CO
