Why didn't GOT SOME catch on?

How come radiostations did not play this at all?

I don't know a lot about american rockstations but listen to KROQ sometimes at work here in Sweden and they played Just Breathe (not often bot sometimes even though they seem to have stopped playing it all together now) but never Got Some. It seems like Got Some would have fit on that channel?

And I have only heard The Fixer, Just Breathe and Corduroy (once) on that channel. But when they play Nirvana they have play songs like Sappy and Penyroyal Tea etc, alot more diverse. They also play alot of different Nirvana songs everyday - seems someone on KROQ really loves Nirvana?

I don't think it's as catchy as some people think it is. Amongst The Waves would make a much better single, it's got all the ingredients of a Ten-era song, big soaring chorus, guitar solo, Ed's best vocals in a while. Given that most casual fans believe Ten to be their best album, I think it would be their best shot at commercial success - if they want it.

It has in Australia.. At first it wasnt played much but after the airwaves success of The Fixer it has made a come back to the radio stations and is now heard a lot and much more than The Fixer. 8-)

Because American radio is terrible. They have the worst program directors and they have no idea what the public wants

Am I incorrect in saying that Got Some was the single released internationally and Just Breathe was the U.S. single?
Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

Got Some is a great song.
    So is Gut Feeling.

There's simply no accounting for the taste or rationale of they who program American radio. Their job appears to be to boost the music of certain "stars."

I dont even listen to the radio any more, between IPOD and burned CD's, no reason to listen to crappy radio. In NY, KROCK going off the air was the last straw for me.

I love Got Some , fave song on Backspacer for me. I could care less if they play it on radio, it gets plenty of play on my IPOD and in my car.
