We all know he's great. My picks would be a toss up of:

Jesus Christ Pose and Got Some.
Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

I don't know, there's some live Even Flow solos that would put both of those to shame.
  • Save You has some pretty good drumming, especially near the end
  • I don't know, there's some live Even Flow solos that would put both of those to shame.

Jesus Christ Pose > Even Flow

You ever listen to Cornells pipes on that song?

And as a whole Jesus Christ Pose is a workout on the drums, takes a lot out of you.

Honestly, this thread inspired me to listen to it, and honestly, I think the song sucks, but that's me. I could never get into Badmotorfinger, and looking back I consider Soundgarden to be a mediocre Seattle band.

Nothing Soundgarden ever did will hold a candle to Even Flow or anything on Ten. IMO.
  • all great choices but i have to say his work on The Who's "The Real Me" is cameron at his best

All and all Pearl Jam is a much better band than Soundgarden, but me and you will have to respectfully disagree about Jesus Christ Pose. As a drummer myself that's harder (on drums) than any other song in the Pearl Jam catalog. (Well maybe some of the old Dave A jam sessions top it)

I play both drums and guitar (learning guitar now). I've tried for several months to get Jesus Christ Pose on drums and still can't get it. That, IMO, is about as good as you can get on drums in the 90s, maybe in music history.

how bout the fact that matt uses the beat of JCP as a drum riff going back into the climax of even flow after the solo is done and before stone plays his riff to bring it all home.

Not really - they cut out the ending from the original version which had great drum fills. The song just kinda ended abruptly without allowing Matt to shine.

That being said, I'm sure he would've
