    think about it this way Doom, the band learned of your thread no doubt, and the folks at 10C seem to be playing along nicely as well..

    I can't wait to see him sitting up on Mikey's amp during their 2010 show at Fenway Park ...

    Ok if you all know this already just BEAR with me (ugh!)..

    There is prior history of the band adopting a mascot..!

    although his demise was tragic..

    In the old days, Mike would have a bunch of dinosaurs, a Mookie Action figure and a vaudville puppet the band called "Mr. Pickles" on his amps..

    At some point after 1998, they got rid of all the knick knacks and "Mr. Pickles"..

    found this in another thread:

    "Mr. Pickles" is a Charlie McCarthy dummy that the band has on stage at their shows. He’s been in various positions for various occasions (holding an American flag the day after the 4th of July, etc.). On the second Seattle show of 98 (7/22/98), he was lowered on a string in front of Mike, who then proceeded to beat the crap out of him with his guitar! Ed even joined the fun, beating him with his mic stand! Poor Mr. Pickles… (this is commonly known as "The Mr. Pickles incident")

    there's a video posted on here somewhere.. it was a gift from the frogs? the vid shows ed wearing the bat wings and being hoisted on to the stage on wires while he sings jeremy
