so old am I? so old am I that there was a drivers license in my wallet and a cassette in my deck, as I belted out every 10 and the two singles songs all around my one-horse, no stop light town. I did make it to Atlanta to see them at the long defunct Point in '91, though. 35. Finally stopped singing along at shows in '98 though. S'gay and it ruins the experience for those around me...different thread though I suppose.
Keep listening, because they'll stop doing it before you die.0 -

I started listening to PJ about 14 years ago when my brother so kindly blasted Ten so loud I couldn't hear whatever horrible music I was listening. I don't think I ever stopped thanking him for converting me. I'm 30 in 9 days! Urghhh, am I ever dreading that day!!0

My PJ birthday was some time in 1993. I was in a freinds car, he had a tape on, playing garden....that was it. I was 15.
56 shows later I've seen the world following this band. They have done so much for me. I live for this shit. I can't get enough of it.90 shows and counting...some of my favs: Randall's Island night 2, Milwaukee '95 night 2, Hawaii '06, St Johns '05, PJ20!0 -

I was 16..(31 now) and I liked the whole grunge thingie.
I wasnt really into one band in particular though at the time. I liked Ten a lot, but never got to see PJ live back then. My parents were far to protective of me so never went to concerts really.
Couldve seen them at Pinkpop '92 ....so I am banging my head right now for that lost opportunity.
After highschool I kind of lost track of PJ. They were never played on the radio anymore (still arent) here in Holland (even though they have loads of fans here still).
And I must say I was too caught listening to REM, the Breeders, the Pixies and all that. Was a big REM fan for years.
But my bf re-introduced Pearl Jam and I fell in love...with him and PJWhy not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?0
