I got Ten for Christmas when I was fourteen, just about 8 or so weeks after Riot Act came out.Got VS and Riot Act after that and wasn't blown away but I'll always remember the day I got Yield,I put it on and thought 'This is the best thing I've ever heard.' Listened to them religiously since then, sadly only seen them the once in Dublin but better than nothing....hard to believe it's been five years since I started listening to them already. My favourite memories of being a teenager will always be Pearl Jam related, whethere it's making friends with people who were fans, buying albums or seeing them in Dublin.
I've only one ambition in life and it's to follow Pearl Jam around the world....Eh,not sure how I'll get the money though, haha.

I was 12 when I first started listening to Pearl Jam. I'm almost 16 now.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

First heard them in 1991 @ age 26,now a ripe 43 years young.

    Gosh,it's strange to be 43 years old,lol.

Another funny thing is that when the song "plush" was first released,

I thought that was pj. I don't think I was the first to make that

mistake of confusing S.Weiland with E.Vedder or STP with the pearl jams :b

I was 33 when I first heard them. 10 had just come out. I was so glad to finally hear something that put Hard Rock and Punk together. Songs with lyrical substance and meaning.
The music and lyrics were perfect to my ears. I was hooked from then on. I am going to be 49 in 12 days and can't wait for the next record and tour.
    ~!~ Peace ~!~ Love ~!~ Pearl Jam ~!~
  • It was on my 10th birthday on 1991. Mom gave me a Barbie...My brother gave me a Ten vinil. I've never heard that before, so as I loved R.E.M.that time, he gave me and said: I believe you'll like it. It's better than R.E.M. and you'll be a fan!! Listen the
He was right. Since that day, I never heard anything like Pearl Jam! That's why I really love my brother ( that time, he used to hear Gun's, Metallica, Rush)...Thank youuu brotherrrr!!
Barbie was gone... Pearl Jam never left my life!!

    Kisses

  • 35... man, I'm old.

I liked "Alive" when I first heard it, but it wasn't until I saw them live that I was hooked. Lollapalooza in 1992 @ Denver. Eddie came out and said how much he liked Denver cuz the air is so thin and therefore you don't have to smoke as much weed to get high. Then, he proceeded to climb to the top of the stage curtains.

I was working as a bellhop in Harrisburg Pa in 1989 when I helped load a bus with equipment and luggage. This guy comes up to me and says, "we don't have any money to tip you but would you like an autograph instead?". I ask "who are you guys?" and he says "Mother Lovebone". I had never heard of them before, so I just said no thanks. Smart move on my end.
