Lost Dogs hidden track
What is it called? I actually forgot there was one at the end of Disc 2 and have no idea cause it isn't mentioned in the liner notes. I'm sure everyone here knows what it is called. Was it a new song around 2003 or another early cut? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

"
"Bee Girl" (Ament, Vedder) – 9:55
* Previously unreleased.[11] Recorded live during Pearl Jam's appearance on Rockline on October 18, 1993.[12] "Bee Girl" contains the hidden track "4/20/02" at 6:04, roughly four minutes and twenty seconds after "Bee Girl". "4/20/02", a Riot Act outtake,[9] is a song honoring Layne Staley of Alice in Chains that was written the day Vedder heard of Staley's death.[10]"
From VH1's website (http://www.vh1.com/artists/news/1458559/11072002/pearl_jam.jhtml)
"VH1: Like the song you wrote for Layne Staley after he died of a drug overdose?"
"Vedder: Yeah. It almost seemed like something we could have put out on the radio that week. It was called "4/20/02," which was the day I heard about it. We didn't release it because we had too many songs..."Post edited by HeavyHands on"A lot more people are capable of being big out there that just don't give themselves a chance." -Stone Gossard0 -

yeah you're right, a good friend of mine send me a copy of it0

False. It's not on any official release. Promo, maybe.HeavyHands wrote:deskilla wrote:And also "I'm Still Here" import version of Lost Dogs
True. Japanese release if I remember correctly.0 -
deskilla wrote:And also "I'm Still Here" import version of Lost Dogs
I swear... we need to call the Mythbusters in for this one. Untitled/I'm Still Here is not on any commercially available version of Lost Dogs. And it's not on any known promo version sent to radio stations, press, etc. I'm guessing that the leak must've come from someone deep inside the band/label organization. Because the leak also contained Angel, which was originally supposed to be on LD, but was removed prior to production. So I'm Still Here probably came from some internal pre-production version of LD at Sony.Rock me Jesus, roll me Lord...

The hidden track on the Japanese release of Backspacer is flat out awesome, it should have made the original album!0

And which song would that be?0

Maybe I'm having a dim witted moment, but it this supposed to be funny? Should I be laughing right now? Or is this honest and serious? Either way, I'm confused.0 -

I guess "The Breaker" is hidden in the pregap? Assuming it comes before The Fixer. Wouldn't make much sense to fix something unless it's previously been broken.0

The Breaker was originally going to make it on the 4th Pearl Jam album called "ReCipher" but when they changed the name to "No Code" it fell to the wayside
Than then next studio album was going to use it as the opening track instead of Brain of J - but when the fellas found out the street sign "Slippery When Wet" was already taken and then changed the name to "Yield" the gem known as The Breaker was tossed aside again
The Japan Backspacer import doesn't list it on the jacket but you can hear squished in between "Gonna See My Friend" and "Got Some"
What a great narrative
Gonna see my friend the breaker, got some fixin' Johnny Guitar?
Oh well when they drop all the reissues for the 20th anniversary fan club christmas bundle perhaps The Breaker will make it on "Dog Found" (ya know, he has one eye, three legs and no tail - answers to the name Lucky)

Slippery When Wet was actually their second choice after "Immigrant Crossing".

The idea was scrapped when Stone insisted that In Hiding should not be the opening track.Mesa I - 11/93 * Toledo - 9/96 * Chicago - 6/98 * St Louis - 7/98 * Indy - 8/98 * St Louis & San Diego - 10/00 * Mt View II - 10/01 * Irvine I & II, San Diego - 6/03 * Chicago I - 5/06 * San Diego & SF III - 7/06 * Lolla - 8/07 * EV Chicago - 8/08 * Chicago I & II - 8/09 * Kansas City & Indy - 5/10 * PJ20 X2 - 9/11 * Atlanta 9/12 * Wrigley Field 7/13 * Moline & Milwaukee 10/14 * Wrigley Field I & II 8/16 * Wrigley Field I & II 8/18 * Ohana Encore I & II 10/21 * EV & The Earthlings Chicago II 2/22

if this was recorded way back in the no code era then they must have remastered it and added the boom backup vocals. i think the 8 minute mike guitar solo is the best thing he has ever done though!0 -
