I spent the last couple of days going through my grandfathers collection of 33", 45" and 78" records - with my grandfather of course. Such a cool guy full of stories (and a great collection too!)

It has a been a great few days of music, where I listened to jazz, classical music, and other random old stuff, which included

Nancy Sinatra (love her, also knew her before)
Katherine Dunham (it was weird listening to afro-cuban songs being sang in spanish by an english speaking person)
Charles Aznavour (I knew him beforehand, and enjoy many of his songs)
Marian Anderson
Django Reinhardt - really really cool
Cole Porter
Josephine Baker
June Christy (def interesting to hear her way of singing)
Eddie Miller
Leadbelly

JAZZ!
Dizzy Gillespie
Jimmy McPartland
Buddy de Franco
Edmond Hall

A record just of trumpet players - fantastic
Randy Brooks - Bobby Hacket - Louis Armstrong - Roy Eldridge - Billy Butterfield - Bunny Berigan

and just too many other things to possibly remember...

So I guess this is an appreciation for things OLD.

And I need to find more Django Reinhardt stuff...
I am just a dreamer, but you are just a dream...
If I knew where it was I would take you there.
