    And you're mistaken: Ed IS a public speaker. He gets on stage and peppers us with his opinion during fairly long speeches. Last time I checked, giving a speech in public = public speaker.

    Also please tell me you don't think that polls on MSNBC are actually real, do you? Like, based on real results? That's kind of naive.
    My guess is some intern remembers the 1994 version of Ed, and when he published the results, that's where Ed landed.

    i understand where you are coming from, unfortunately when you put your concerns/views on a stage you become a public speaker. and in all honesty....i think vedder considers himself a singer/speaker or speaker/singer.
    live and let live...unless it violates the pearligious doctrine.

    The point is, YES vedder does speak in public, but he more so has conversations with his fans. he is not on a soap box. he isn't a professional public speaker. There is a fine line! As far as things being real. Whatever is in from of my face and what I can see is real. Thousands of people will see that poll and automatically create an opinion, BUT that opinion is based on CRAP, if it comes from what you said, a ignorant intern, than that's even worse.
