I still think they made a mistake not targeting either Amongst the Waves or Unthought Known to be one of their radio tracks.

    Agreed. Both are amazing.

I love Just Breathe, but I don't see the radio appeal as much.

It's #1 most-requested and #3 most-played at KROQ Los Angeles, a rock station with a very large audience.

I wouldn't have believed you until I went there and saw it for myself. I would have thought it to be too mellow for KROQ. Nice to see. KROQ has a huge audience.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing it on the world famous KROQ just about everyday to and from work. They also put on the weenie roast in my backyard venue every summer so props to them on both accounts..haha, it is pretty mellow for them tho..

11 adds at Alternative Radio this week.

Just Breathe is #31 on the Alternative Charts (last week #39) with 355 spins.

    At Triple A, it's #19 with 217 spins with 4 adds.

Just 1 add at Mainstream radio and it hasn't charted in the Top 30 yet.

No action at Active Rock radio.

I like Just Breathe as a single...they haven't released anything close to this time of song as single in a looong time.

I think Unthought Known will kick radio ass as well.

am I the only one that is amazed that that shittastic Alice in Chains song is STILL #1?

I swear they sound like a parody of themselves

Too mellow for KROQ? A while back, I made the comparison of "Just Breathe" to "Hey There Delilah," which was played incessantly for months on KROQ (and became a major pop hit). KROQ is also gave a lot of airplay to The Fray's "Heartless," another song in the same vein in terms of tempo and vibe.

Anyone know what it is this week on ROCK SONGS? I can only see down to #25 on Billboard. The Fixer is still #8, thats awesome!

  • It's in the chart of my favorite internet station too. Entered last week on #71. This week Just Breathe climbs to #56.

    Nice...
  • ATW might make a good single, but personally i dont like it and would hate for it to be the next single.

Check my Brain? I love that song... The guitar is great, I was so surprised... makes me want to rock out AIC style, like nothing has in a long time. The album is decent, but its Jerry in Chains.

On topic, I don't seen JB lasting too long on the radio. I think its a terrible choice for the radio. I just think people will skip it. Its one of the two I often skip. Its not a bad song, but there so many better choices on the album. I think Force of Nature or Got Some would get the most play in the long run.
Twenty-ten watch it go to fire!!!

Better than JB. I think everyone here wants the boys to succeed but Just Breathe is Just Boring... I still vote for UK/FoN...

I think Just Breathe is a great choice.

Next would be either Got Some, or Unthought Known.

Amongst the Waves is a crowd killer and kind of a cheesy song lyrically to me. Glad that's not the single.
    NERDS!
