When I am at a show the only songs i groan over hearing are Wishlist and Love Boat Captain. However, when i am listening to it in a non-concert capacity I generally skip over the following:
Evenflow, Alive, Glorified G, Aye Davanita, Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me, In Hiding, Low Light, Light Years, Thin Air, Thumbing My Way, You Are, All or None, Parachutes and Unemployable.
Most of these are because of either overexposure (Evenflow & Alive) or just too low key for my mood.5/27/06, 6/19/08, 10/27/09, 10/28/09, 10/31/09 & 5/18/100 -

Are you serious....
This song just oozes fantastic. Listen to this on the way to work and I guarantee a good day. I struggle to resist the urge to dance while listening to this song.
Johnny Guitar is another matter.._______________________

I actually think it is probably the best song they have ever written and definitely one of my top ten favorites. Top 5 most days. That said, I can see people not really liking it. People are different and not everyone is going to agree on this stuff. One song I will NEVER get is Sleight of Hand and I've seen people praise it as one of the band's best. I don't see it and it is one of the few songs that has never grown on me. It's cool if other people like it, but I just don't think I ever will no matter how many times I listen to it. You Are is similar, I think, in that it is sort of a love or hate deal and people that don't like it by now probably never will.I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world // I wait on the porch...hoping someday I'll be let in

Many PJ songs are indeed an acquired taste--well worth the acquisition period!
The coolest thing that I have found is the amazing number of Pearl Jam songs that have occupied the "always skip" category, or the "let play, but ignore" category, or the "heard, listened to, tried to like, but still don't get it" category, that one day always seem to jump up and ATTACK!. I used to think that Evolution was downright the most obnoxious song I ever heard, but now its the song to dance the hardest to.
I used to think that Marker in the Sand was always "just ok", but now, for some unknown reason, it's my current favorite and I don't know HOW I never heard what I hear now.
I think with alot of PJ songs, there's something real sweet near the end of the song, that's worth waiting for--if one resists the skip. For instance, Hard to Imagine has that "things are different now" part at the end, while the beginning of the song is kind of slow and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Ah, but it is!
But to answer the question anyway, LAST KISS. Can't get over hearing it so many times during my youth played by "adults".0 -
