anyone else experience problems with senority and their tickets last night? I was row 20 on the first night, but night 2 all the way over in s113 r10

The guy behind me thought something was up too and had surveyed some other 10c members. But the numbers and the seats he go.. they cut out a section of fan club tickets when they did the allocation and it looks like they got tagged on the end.

this bumped up alot of newer members closer then they'd usually be..

awesome show and setlist, but I was a little bummed about the tickets.

I was in Row 8 both nights...Stone's side but on the aisle the 2nd night. Actually had the same couple next to me both nights. I have a low membership number, something like 108XXX. I felt lucky!

i may be wrong..?... but i know my brother was front row lastnight and said he (?) gave Ed a scrapbook he and others made preshow....
Yeah, the scrapbook was something that the Wishlist team (predominantly Lisa/jaminaic) put together at the preparty beforehand, with a bunch of us taking happy snaps and leaving comments in the book as a gesture of thanks.

I read some others' entries while I was putting my own one in- we really are a corny lot :)

    Just got back from seattle.

What a night the second show was. Unreal. THAT's the pearl jam we need all the time!! From the top:

Firstly, I was sitting in 115 row 2, right in front of the hearing impaired translator all night. It was a really cool time. unique experience.

Why go early set the tone for the night. I've never really liked when all night makes a setlist appearnce, but i really enjoyed it last night. it sounded great. Faithful, had the place electric. And this run of songs, faithful, lukin, not for you (modern girl), no way...is pretty astounding..Absolutely great. Ed changed the lyrics "small my table, sits just FOUR!!!" as i knew he would, and he said "its so crowded, i cant have anymore!" that was funny. Unemployable, was a little blah, but ripping into comatose soon made that pass. Present tense was fantastic. the lighting was really cool, with ed and mike only on stage for the intro. When present tense broke into the jam, Mike went ape shit. Must've done four or five jumps. just showing off for the crowd. Go was absolutely nailed. it was the epitome of live Pearl Jam. They were all up at the front of the stage, ed half way down his mic stand sitting, mike absolutely wailing, i took a mental picture. THIS is Pearl Jam. it was SICK! Mike through his guitar int he air, but he didnt break it. I was hoping for him to let loose with it, as before in seattle shwos during Go. but not to be.

I ran to the bathroom after Go, cuz i knew there was a break. I sat down for just breathe and the end. They are stunning songs live. So much feeling. Especially the end. Really, really emotional stuff. Ed joked about how they should play something a little more upbeat, and said, well you are not so lucky and black came in. Great lighting for this, red and blue, Ed sitting in the front, letting us finish the oooooooooooooh, im spinning parts. Black solo was great, Ed lit up while Mike played the solo. In My Tree wasnt received as well as i thought it might be, but it was still great. We waved to all our friends. Ed's delivering the lyrics to this one a little different than previous tours too. I heard a 6 year singing "spin! spin!" in the concourse prior to the show, so im glad the little fella got it to end the second part.

The supersonics songs was pretty cool. Ed intro'd it as O.T.O.N.O or something, one time one night only. DTE was good. Porch ROCKED, the crowd built up the end with the, "...hey....hey"

This girl lisa won the front row auctio and the straw hat that ed wore on stage was hers. Also during YL a guy in a wheelchair handed ed the Scrapbook from the pre party. it was an AWESOME moment. he was really struggling to reach ed, and ed bent way down to get it. Ed came back with tambourine for him later. i've got a pic of Him giving Ed the Book. Im glad i paid for a page in it!! :)

All in all, one of the best/better PJ shows i've been too. i think they really knew they needn't to bring it, after a mediocre night one of the tour. And brought it they did!!! I love the way the new stuff is coming off live, Great crowd response for the Fixer especially i found!!!

    Well, until Vancouver!!

    see you in two days.

  • What more can be said? I will simply say that yes it was as amazing as it looks on paper! And talk about getting hooked up, Ten Club stoked me with front row seats, almost dead center! Amazing. Night 1 I was 18th row floor, expected more or less the same, was pleasantly surprised at the box office, to say the least! My last shows for a while, sure glad I was there!
  • Went to both shows and can't stop singing all the songs in my head. The new songs were great too. I just wish I could download the bootlegs today! I did after the two Gorge shows a few years back and they haven't left my car stereo since. Something about being at a show and listening to the songs even years later, I get goose bumps. How long until the bootlegs are released usually?

I hear ya, I cannot wait for the bootlegs to the Seattle shows...especially night two (last night)!!!

This time around they said the bootlegs will be available a couple weeks after the shows. So a little longer wait than in 2005 and 2006.

Singing wise, this is by far the best version of Lukin ive heard in several years...Fair play to Ed. You can make out the words! Seriously, its class.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh5URmFiWPU great sound on this video aswell!

Always great to see the Lukin/Not For You/Modern Girl combo in full.

Just got home, I will resist the urge to make a long review here, but great shows, didn't think night 2 could top night 1, but it did. I listened to some of the soundcheck (with Crazy Marcus) outside Key Arena, so we had a good idea that No Way would be played. The only song they played in the soundcheck that didn't make it to the setlist that night was Green Disease.

First, the new songs; I didn't mind hearing most of them twice, the only ones we didn't hear between the two nights was SoS and Force of Nature. Unthought Known is incredible live. For those of you that are not sure about that song, I beg you to wait until you see it live. Last night I figured out why I like The Fixer so much. It's a pretty short song, but a great "in between" song that keeps the crowd pumped up. Just Breathe and The End were beautiful with that string quartet, I loved hearing them both nights, and what a way to follow them up with Black last night!

They nailed No Way like they play it all the time, Present Tense was intense, and Faithfull and DTE were great. The highlight for me personally was Lukin into Not For You, absolutely incredible and full of energy. Don't know where Mike is getting all that energy, that guy is INSANE!

Lastly, I want to thank all the new "fan/friends" I made over the past four days. Hinn, Crazy Marcus, Maayan, Janet, Sam, Charlie, Saundra, Celine, Cat, you guys ROCK and I can't wait to hang out again!

So much for me not posting a long review.

this was the greatest pearl jam show i've been to. the first set was so energetic and all the songs kept getting pumped out. present tense and faithfull sounded absolutely amazing!!!! this is the greatest band in the world and for all those being negative about backspacer, eddies voice now, etc., go to a show for once. then you will see the magic. oh and by the way, the last verse in black was freakin' magical last night. can't wait for vancity!
  • Pearl Jam was a band posessed last night! Unbelievable set list and energy! Holy Fuck it was great!

Night 1 was very good, but Night 2 blew my mind!

Dissident, NO WAY, In My Tree, Faithful, Spin the Black Circle, Present Tense, Porch

It's almost like I chose the set list.

Back to work and the real world. One of the best flights home I've ever had, still soaring on last nights energy. Was on the floor, 24th row Stone's side. Blown away by the setlist. I couldn't believe what I was hearing with No Way. In My Tree was awesome, and from my perspective the crowd was excellent. A lot of singing along, very loud...didn't want the night to end. I'll remember this trip for a long, long time.
  • Well worth the drive from Portland...what an incredible set list last night. I was so pumped after the show that I listened to Backspacer 4 times on the drive home and it just keeps getting better. I really wanted to hear Amongst the Waves, but they did it night 1...maybe they'll play it in Portland this weekend. These were my first 10C tickets, and I got floor row 35; that's what I get for waiting so long to join the fan club. Can't wait to do it again saturday! With any luck I'll hit the 1st row lottery this time, ha.

    Overall:
    - Loved the show, the band was amazing as always, the setlist was one of the best at any show I've been to, and I had an awesome time as did my g/f at her 2nd show. However, and she feels stronger about this than me, the energy from the crowd was rather weak for a PJ show.

Jon Turner aka "PearlJammer" the poker player?

Yeah that's me... so happy to be on a break from poker for next couple weeks - also going to all 4 LA and the 1 SD show
It makes much more sense... to live... in the present tense
