    Brown Vic or Purple vic?

brown...i dunno why ppl always ask. The purple is more rare and more unique that i think that is when it should be specified

but it's brown...and from the actual show. It's in kraft paper and a tube ready to be shipped since the person that was supposed to buy it, didn't

    I HOPE SO!

TIME FOR ANOTHER POSTER TO POP UP ON 10c!

ive had the bug for a while, but this last mystery sale gave me a super strong case of it! the chance to get a duesseldorf, toronto dragons, or spain hammerhead was to much...i ended up with VEGAS 06...not bad and i dont have it (its for trade though)

but like some said earlier I only want the ones of shows i was at or if the art really grabs me! im alover the batman when kalusen puts it on his site this sat...sshhhhhhh!

im hoping for a 10c sale soon, i must feed the beast!

  • I'm just getting further into it myself. I too started with the shows I was at, but it is starting to expand. Now I'm waiting for the mailman and checking the mailbox every few minutes. I think i have the shakes.

I am totally down for some octopi! I missed out at Mansfield I and my friend missed out for me at Mansfield II... Actually, I am pretty annoyed becuase it is the first time that I have missed out at a show. Were they selling fewer than usual this year?

I think more folks are into them than previously, so its harder to get them at shows.

  • I've definitely caught the bug. And a day without Expressobeans feels pretty strange right now...

For me it all started with a Mudhoney poster a couple years ago at the Knitting Factory with a bunch of UFOs on it that only cost $5. About a year and a half later, picked up a Ryan Adams poster at the Town Hall, then Wilco at the Warsaw, and then the Pearl Jam poster craze began this summer as I picked up MSG II and have gone back to find the other 4 of my past shows: Hartford 06, Boston III 03, Camden I 06, and Reading VFC 04. Only the Hartford 06 is missing from the collection now.

I wonder if the release of the new Shepard poster crashed it?
The Obey site was brutal .

  • well i missed the eddie batman on artillery....sold out! im gettin gused to those words in my search for posters...

for anyone who has recently caught the poster bug i reccomend highly grabing a itoya 18x24 acid free portfolio. i have one and i love it. got for just under $30 at an art supply store in miami but they are even available at amazon.com it acn hold 48 prints in its 24 pages and its alot cheaper than framing all your posters (save that cash for the really nice ones and get a really nice frame job) plus it keeps them flat and accesible, whats the point of having all those posters rolled up in tubes if you cant enjoy them? its great to be able to flip through all your nice prints!

now if only itoya would make a bigger portfolio...some of my pearl jams dont fin in that size

certain prints in my collection are wierd sized as well.

seems to happen with some black board prints ( problems with crop lines ? )
such as borgata - wierd sizes ! dont fit in standard jackets or sleeves,...

I went from no posters owned and having no clue folks were even into them...to buying my 1st one at the Hartford 08 show. I actually bought 4, as me and my wife got one (one to keep, one for trade), and then lucking out as the poster booth guy asked if I wanted to buy the last 2 as they had extras and we were the last ones at the booth.

This led to going in early to buy Mansfield 1, etc...now between trading and buying, I have every poster I want (9 of them) except Mansfield 98. I swore I would only collect from shows I attended and then decided to make 1 exception as I bought a Kenyon Hall on Ebay last night...

Posters are amazingly addictive and I have ramped my collection from 0 to 9 even knowing I won't realistically frame them for years.

Can not wait for my Kenyon Hall to get here...trying to convince myself that $177 isn't too bad a price!
  • man its getting worse...

i bought a portfolio for my prints now im obsessed with filling it up...

just grabbed vancouver 2003 for $30 on ebay...its kinda cool but i couldnt pass it up at face value...or just above it anyways.

i think itll frame up nicely...surely not the worst ames out there....maybe itll make for a good trade one day...

and last week i bought a dusseldorf....

now im after the elusive toronto dragons...
