The Fixer music video... ughhhh

Does this video bug anyone else? First of all, it looks like 5 different takes that they pieced together. The crowd was either pumped up before hand or faking it, because no Pearl Jam show looks like that. Are those people even Pearl Jam fans? They look very young. Either the band mimed the song or they played it live and the producers pieced it together to make it look like they are singing it? Why not just do a live version like Even Flow? Oh, right, Pearl Jam gave up their power to be commercialized. At least there are not target symbols in the music video, or I would have to vomit.

the crowd looks disinterested? what video are you watching? they look more interested than most fans at actual PJ shows.
Haha, you haven't seen the actual Target commercial that uses this video then, I take it.
Same here. The crowd is reacting as they should for a song of that particular tempo. Someone in another post said that people don't act like this at PJ shows. That's complete crap. At the 2nd Chicago show that I attended last month, the people around me acted exactly like the folks on The Fixer video - dancing like crazy.

Is it a target commercial or just a lame video? I'm not really sure.
Still, I must admit I do watch it alot... its like a guilty pleasure.
But I guess for Speed of Sound a vid would be worse...
Sorry, I just can't help it -I really like Backspacer, i'm glad I could hear it, and i will listen to it, but Speed of Sound there is .. oh, I can't find words... the worst PJ song ever. And the Fixer is not good - together with the video is almost as big crap as Speed of Sound.

I don't like seeing my favorite band, who fought against commercialism, to go back on that and be commercialized. You lose control when you are commercialized. The target commercial makes me sick (yes I have seen it, I'm just glad target symbols weren't in the actual music video).
The crowd in the video is so faking it and it just adds to fabrication of the whole video. Not that they wouldn't be excited at all, but EVERYONE jumping in the crowd is outlandish. It's like when you go to a comedy show for TV and the stage crew before the show that get you pumped up tell you to laugh extra loud at everything so it can be heard on TV. Its fake. I'm sure someone before the video said "Everyone jump and look super happy so it looks good on the video!" ITS FAKE.
