  • Bought 2 shirts.

After a little begging, I was able to buy 2 XLs for me and my wife, a L for 14 yr old son, and an M for 12 yr old. They said they only had 4 of each size for the entire store.

Uh oh -- don't tell KIElm.

  • Chicago - Target store
got the cd and the shirt
had to ask for the shirts.
nice women brought a box from the back (seems to be a common theme as everyone's had to ask for them from the back). There were about 15-20 shirts in the box - she said that's all they sent her. So, yes...they're limited indeed. I didn't ask for more than one...so not sure what the deal is there, but i'm happy they're doing that...as someone else said, keeps it from others buying a bunch and then charge twice the cost on ebay (have you seen what the limited Chicago concert shirts were going for, up to $250). But also understand that if you want to buy one for other family members...makes it difficult to do.
Happy part of the $$$ is going to Feeding America
we'll see how the threading holds up...looks a little loosey, goosey...but maybe that's the design. The shirt is soft and good. And yes...i ususally wear a L, but had to get an XL.

    anyway...rockin' CD.

everett, ma has the CD (and some signage!) but the tshirt was nowhere to be seen. very friendly staff, but they hadn't a clue where to find it or what I was talking about.

in other news, though, target is really a pleasure to be in at 8am!

Only select targets are selling them, and the target I Went to had 1 box and they weren't out on display yet. This is to be expected, they are not experts in promoting music.

  • Phew, just went to the Palatine store (3rd and final) and got 1 more for my hubby!!

I wasn't aware that there was "a policy of 1 shirt per person" at Target. The mngr. at the Wheeling store was a pain, but the mngr. at the Palatine store was very nice and let some people buy multiples... Guess my question is if there is a policy:
    1. Why wasn't it stated somewhere (ad/display)?
    2. If it is only 1 per person, why are other stores allowing customers to purchase multiples?

Btw, I did go back to the car and dropped off my stuff and went back in to get another shirt. I got in line and the mngr. came over to the checkout to tell me I couldn't buy it! Geez, that's the last time I'll go to the Wheeling Target...
  • mine were behind the elctronic counter they were making sure that people were not grabing them all.

Has anyone seen the LP at any Targets in Chicagoland at all?
    Thanks
  • I really wonder who made the decision on which locations got the shirts, whether it was Target or Curtis Mgmt. Because somebody royally screwed up on this little marketing scheme. It will actually be cheaper for me to pay some e-bay flipping douche than it will be for me to drive almost 12 hours roundtrip to the nearest Target selling the shirts

My husband and I split up and went to 2 different stores; the one he went to didn't have any (they had no clue), but the one I went to had a bunch. I picked up 3 and they would only let me buy 1!!! The mngr. said there was a freakin limit!! I almost got in a huge fight w/ her. I asked why there was a limit and she said because the store had limited quantity, Target was only allowing one per person. I was like why? and she said, "Well what am I supposed to tell the other customers? It's only 8:30 and other people will want to buy them." That's when I told her I was waiting since 7:45 this morning and if "other customers" wanted it so bad they should have been here early too. She even threatened to kick me out of the store w/ no shirt. What a bitch! Now my hubby doesn't get one. :( I guess it's ok though, during the arguement w/ the mngr., she forgot to ring me up for the Backspacer LP (that they didn't even have out, I had to ask; they were in the back), so I got the record for free! Screw Target!!
Hope the rest of you get one! Good luck!

Actually, sorry, but it sounds like you were the one who was out of line. Why did you need three? The manager was only looking out for other customers and fans. AND you shoplifted. Not sure how you though this story would be received.

Sounds like you made a real ass out of yourself. Your not going to get much sympathy here. Go back and pay for the LP. On top of making an ass of yourself, your a thief!! Stealing from Target and the band way to go chief

Yeah... I am not sure what she thought people were going to think. Not to mention that there are a lot of people looking for shirts that aren't going to want to know that there are people hoarding 3 shirts (even though they claimed they just wanted a second for their 'hubby'). And then to brag that at least they got to knowingly walk out with unpaid stuff... come on.
  • Target in Aurora (off Gatrell) has the shirts...

I got there at 8:30 and the guy told me they've already sold at least 25-30 cds....but only 2 shirts...they were not on the floor...you have to "ask" for them....

Just came back from the Target in Saugus, Ma and they have 10 or so sitting on the entertainment counter. I got one this morning when they opened but when I went back to check to see if they had CD's, looks like someone just laid them on the glass counter and walked away.

  • Northern VA. Target..the only one listed w/ a shirt within miles..I asked the associate, he knew EXACTLY what I was talking about..said he had a "small mob" look for them early in the morning- They didn't get the shirts in yet, he had checked the entire back stockroom..He expects them in Monday/Tuesday. He said people wanted to leave them their name and # and have him call them when they come in!! REally people?!?!? Has it come to that?!?! Some guy drove an hour and a half just to be shut out..I don't know, I'm thinking if I had to drive that far I would've called first!!

Hey, at least this Target guy knew what I was talking about-

Yeah looks like CO has been ok so far. I went at 8 to the big Lone Tree store and there were about 4 of us getting the cds. I decided to wonder to the men's section for the shirt before I asked and they were hanging on the back wall. There weren't any smalls but the medium works.
If I had known then what I know now...
