Backspacer's in my ipod, yet I haven't heard it yet...

well, not for a few more minutes. I'm about to have a plate of dinner (meatloaf and potatoes), and then I will get into my car, attach the ipod to the radio connector in my glove box, turn the car over, back out of the driveway and drive away with Gonna See My Friend blasting away. I might just hold out until midnight (officially 9/20). What's another hour and a half after 3 years and four months of waiting? Here's the thing, as I've posted already. I'll have to hear Backspacer from the playlist instead of the album directly, because the album has The Fixer last. I had to drag the songs over into the playlist to get them in correct order. As I drive, I think I'll just cruise around the residential streets instead of a freeway.

    Here's the story. I pre-ordered Backspacer in August for 9.99 and I was able to download Fixer for 0.99, and I would pay $9.00 when the rest of the album's released. So, I got home from work today, and at 9:30pm it was available, only without The Fixer. Cool. I purchased the rest, and after everything was done, The Fixer wasn't in the tracklisting; it was in a separate box (as a single). I had to drag each song over to a playlist to get it in the right order. I know I've heard The Fixer many times since July, but I still want to hear it after Got Some, before Johnny Guitar, not after The End.

    Right click the fixer-> click get info-> change all that info so it matches the info for the rest of the songs on Backspacer-> click ok

    This should fix your problem.

    I agree, very important to hear it in proper order on the album.

    I'm with you dude. My Backspacer came today after I had left for work...I'll be home and listening for the first time at around midnight. The car thing sounds like it would be fun but I think I'm gonna have a few beers instead.

    Just got back from my wonderful ride. Now every time I hear the album, I'll remember car trip I took through the streets of Altadena, into La Canada, through Montrose, into La Crescenta, up Pennsylvania Ave, right turn on Foothill, back into La Canada, 210 freeway into Pasadena, exit Sierra Madre Blvd, north until New York Drive, left turn, go a mile and a half, right on Altadena Drive, all the way around back to my street (Marengo) turn left, a few blocks to my house. To those that live in this area, that was my trip during the first listening of Backspacer.

    I did that and it worked, but it is still out of order when I try to put it on my iphone.

    Everything's cool now. I matched The Fixer's INFO with all the other tracks. A few tweaks here and there and I now have one continual album (#1-#11). 8-)

    Hey Bill...I hope your listen was as amazing as mine! I am so proud of this band. They have kicked it up a notch in my book. There's at least four classics on this record. I burst with pride with every listen.
