By my count, there are about 400 - 500 Target stores that will be selling the shirts. If each store only had 10 shirts, that would mean that there would only be 4000 - 500 shirts available across the entire country. If Pj is donating $5 per shirt, that would be a pretty small charitable contribution from such a big band ($25,000). It would hardly be worth their effort.
My guess is that there will be A LOT more than 10 shirts per store. The Target employees that you spoke with are probably just confused.
Edit:
I am going to have to admit that I was wrong on this one. From what I have seen on the board on Sunday, each store had less than 20 shirts.
no not available at all stores. In the email they recently sent "The Latest from Ten Club-9/18/09" out there was a link at the bottome to the stores that will have them.
Philadelphia burbs area....
just have to go over to Target and see what happens...most stores have around 10 or so in assorted sizes..I talked to a manager.....she wasn't sure how or if it would be on line...but they were listed on her in-store computer and she looked at other local stores, all had a few in stock on the list except, the store in Montgomery County, Pa. off of on route 309, but they were at other stores near there..Plymouth Meeting....see ya there!!!!
P.S she had no idea of where they would be in the store...shirts dept. makes sense...
Ha, that figures, the store on 309 is right down the street from me, happened to poke around there earlier today but couldn't find any

Going to get some bright and early. Send me a PM and I will try to get any for someone who can't get one. Unless you are going to the Marion Illnois store. If you are going there I'll see ya in the AM.
I just hope this doesn't turn into me wandering around Target way too early on a Sunday... and a box of shirts hiding in the back, yet to be put on the floor. Ugh...
I went to the Abington PA store, there was no line waiting as the store opened. The shirts were not out on display. I had to ask a clerk and he had a box of maybe 10 shirts, max. No sizes bigger than XL. There was only one other guy there looking for shirts, and he left without one because he was looking for something bigger than XL.
The shirt is cool looking, but it is very thin cotton (Not a heavy (beefy) t-shirt type). Just the drummer design on the front, nothing on the back. Hope that helps!
Went to the Bel Air, MD Target this morning since it was the closest one on the tshirt list - they had the CDs, about 3 vinyl singles and NO shirts. I asked a bunch of different people and most of them looked at me like I was a moron but did the best they could to try and help. I was as persistent as I could be, but no one had any idea what I was talking about.
I stopped by two other Targets that were on my way home, neither one even had the CDs out, just the endcap signs advertising the release today. What a mess.

What a mess!!! How can you be the exclusive retailer and not have the CD on release day!!!!!!!!!!??!?!?!?!
"Without the album covers, where do you clean your pot?" - EV
My target in Greensburg, PA was pretty on it...They had the cds up and displayed with a sign that said "if you are looking for Pearl Jam shirts or vinyl please ask someone in electronics." So myself and the 2 others waiting did, and they were in a box back there. Considering all the crap im reading, my target seemed pretty on the ball.
i just got one...it's true, these stores that are carrying it have a very limited quanity. lady said i was the 4th person to buy one today and that they were almost out. the xl does look very small, but the material is kinda stretchy. it's clear that they were designed to be kind of small, a bit of a retro look. that said, i'm a true xl, and the xl does fit me, just looks a little snug. i just hope it doesn't shrink much in the wash. it's made from 100% organic cotton.
None closer than 150 miles of me that are listed as having it. Thought I'd try to stop in to a Target on a work trip a couple weeks from now, but I guess they'll be gone? I'll give it a try....

I got 1 this morning. They are more of a charcol color. Not near the CDs, in the middle of nowhere, no label in the display, and this target only had 6 all M or L and they run small.
What a mess!!! How can you be the exclusive retailer and not have the CD on release day!!!!!!!!!!??!?!?!?!
I'm surprised that this actually surprises anyone. Target has never in my memory been good at getting items out on release day. At least with Wal-Mart I can open the boxes that they leave sitting on the floor, but with Target I have to make them get it from the back, then they try to argue (for Sunday releases, even when in their own ad they show it to be a Sunday release) that the release for the item is Tuesday. I eventually win but to think there would be no issues?
Chicago - Target store
got the cd and the shirt
had to ask for the shirts.
nice women brought a box from the back (seems to be a common theme as everyone's had to ask for them from the back). There were about 15 shirts in the box - she said that's all they sent her. So, yes...they're limited indeed.
My Target seemed to know what was going on...and i had no issues.
Happy part of the $$$ is going to Feeding America
we'll see how the threading holds up...looks a little loosey, goosey...but maybe that's the design. The shirt is soft and good. And yes...i ususally wear a L, but had to get an XL.

Good luck all!
The store had no clue where they were until the manager came and pulled them from the cabinet behind the counter in electronics.
if you were XL, you won't where this one. It is very small and tight, but I purchased it anyway
