I know that everyone is saying they run small...which is true.

Got vinyl and a medium t-shirt at the Elston-Chicago Target. They had about 2 shirts left and I got there at 9. PJ is brilliant and supply and demand, almost to the point where it is frustrating!

Is there anyone out there that would trade a medium for a large as mine is quite snug...thought I'd give it a try.

The vinyl cover looks amazing as the art is bold, colorful, and brilliant...I dont even have a record player yet but plan on framing the cover.

    Just let me know

8 am in Allentown Pa we had to ask. About 5 minutes later the guy from electronics came out with all they had, which was about 10 total. All the XL's were snapped up in seconds, just a couple Larges and Mediums left at 8:02. Bonus for everyone who showed up early--- I handed out PJ Drummer stickers (from the Wishlist Street Team) to everyone! Everyone was cool. I'll put up some pics in a bit

My sister went to 2 Targets this morning trying to find them. At the first one, the lady told her they were "between the mens and the boys underwears". When she went over there they only had 2 med and one large at 10:15. They didn't even have the CDs on an endcap there. So off to Target #2 and she had to ask and have someone bring them from the back and they only had 12 shirts and she was told that was all they got! But she did get me one and I'm so freaking happy! But the stitching is off on all of them. Very weird but the shirt if super soft and I love it!!

the target near me says they won't release the shirts until tuesday. what a crock! the workers were all cool and said they don't know why it is that way but their manager said no. upon speaking to her, she was bull-headed and only gave me the response "they will be released on tuesday" to each question i had about the shirts.

i dont like bitter whores at all.

Posted this in the other t-shirt thread too.

Went to the Druid Hills (Atlanta) Target at 8:45am. Employees were falling asleep at the counter.

No PJ cds displayed ANYWHERE. Of course no shirts either.

I'd be interested to know if they even put the album out today or if they are waiting for Tuesday.

I didn't bother asking anybody as I would presume it would be futile.

Then about 2 hours later I went to the Buckhead (Atlanta) Target and the album was everywhere - both in the music section and at the checkout. Numerous copies.

    No shirts to be found.

Walked up to a friendly Target employee who said he got the t-shirt question a few times already but couldn't find it anywhere.

I read through the message board and explained to him that the tshirts are likely in a small box in the back. Just about 10 or so in the box.

He said let me give it a shot. Went back and within 2 minutes had all the tshirts in his arms. Picked up an XL.

At 10am on 9/20, the Target on Sports Arena blvd, San Diego, didn't know what I was talking about either. I started in the women's dept, moved on to the men's, and ended up in the music, where I bought the cd, even though I should have one coming in the mail any day. The only salesperson that even acted like they had a clue was in the music dept. Still, no shirts were delivered to them was what I was told. Bummed. I now see, I could've ordered one online too... double whammy.

    I found it intersting
it seems they may have used some sort of demographics / statistics for distributions and or promotions of the new album.

Mostly suburbs, and places out of the norm for releasing and or promoting a new independant album ,
    just saying .

I feel sorry for the inner city guy /gal who may like Pearl Jams music ,
and had very little access to the new promos that the kids in surburbia got,.....
( at least in my NYC area )

The nearest Target to my residence is in Brooklyn NYC , ....
and they barely had the new album, no shirts, no vinyl,...hell not even a display dedicated to Pearl Jam or to Backspacer.
The employees I asked ( about 4 of them ) knew absolutely nothing about the shirt, alltho one was nice enough to thumb thru the circular with me ( which i'd already done 100 times ) and he pointed out the HUGE Pearl Jam coverage in there to me .

Its dreadfully obvious here in the NYC area, PJ is heavily relying on sales more spread out towards the suburbs.

I also noticed that they seemed to pick suburban stores. But some of their choices for my area were odd.

I went to a store in Watauga, TX (suburb of Ft. Worth) Sunday afternoon and they had a big display right by the entrance with albums, CDs, singles, and shirts. They had about 10 shirts left. I called before I went over there. Not that far from where I live but it I was having a very hectic weekend and there was no way I was getting there at 8 AM.

I got a L because I like my shirts loose and comfy. I like the lighter weight because a black t-shirt is kind of uncomfortable in Texas weather. But I almost didn't buy one because EVERY SINGLE SHIRT they had was cut off the grain. That means that once it's been washed (as these have) the seam always runs crooked. On these, with white stitching, it's really obvious. There are these curved seams at the sides. It will look worse every time I wash it.

So I don't know if I want to keep it or not. If I could still order one online I would and return this one. I'll probably keep it but it bothers me.

Didn't anybody find it the slightest bit odd you were taking pictures of people holding cd's and tshirts in a Target at 8:02am on a Sunday?

Whaddya know, I just ordered one online! Hopefully it will look better than the one I got in the store, then I can return that one. So if you've tried to order online and it says SOLD OUT, try again later.
