Just picked up the poster "The Endless Summer - The Search For The Perfect Wave" and I was just wondering what the signifigance or connection to Pearl Jam is with it. Ive seen this on Pearl Jam t shirts and i think it was even being sold on the ten club website at some point...Anyone know? Great poster either way.

They've used the design for posters and t-shirts in the past.

The surfing movie The Endless Summer is obviously the inspiration for the poster.

'The Endless Summer' is one of the best surf movies ever.
Great images and really embodies the whole surf culture.
Great title track as well by the Sandals.
Obviously, Eddie (and Ames) was touched by this movie along with countless other folks.

Someday hopefully I'll be able to add the S.Diego 1998 poster to my collection.

Those colors and silhouettes are timeless…
The slightest glimpses of those colors represent the search and indulgence of unknown treasures to multiple generations of restless souls…

At least they do for me

Sorry. Didn't intend to come off as snooty. My apologies; I was just a bit excited that I knew an answer around here.

Glad you got the poster and hope you'll check out the movie sometime.
