Do people think that Ed and Stone personally greet and do a shot with everyone backstage?

There are scores of people backstage, and most bands usually stay in their guarded dressing rooms before the show, so its not like you will freely approach them!

You mean Ed isn't riding up and down the halls on a Harley? Jeff isn't doing line of coke off strippers? Mike isn't playing new riffs for Eric Clapton? Stone isn't playing Dungeons and Dragons?

    WTF

    What a let down!

Actually, Elton John does prefer practically nude men to serve him beverages in his dressing room... and I recall something about Gary Glitter running around the dressing room corridors like a maniac at MSG prior to performing with The Who, but I didn't witness that second one. ...and Stone prefers The Sims.

  • Backstage passes to Pearl Jam? Backstage passes to Guns N Roses would be cool so you can snort coke off of groupies' asses with Slash while Axl shit-stomps a reporter. But Pearl Jam? I bet Stone and Mike play dungeons and dragons after the show.

And here I thought I'd be the first person to accuse Stone of playing Dungeons and Dragons after a show.

Joey Ramone asked me once to get him spaghetti and meatballs ...then later proceeded to throw small live animals into the crowd. So, while Stone may play D&D and seem like a shy one, later he may get all Michael Vick on dogs or something.

My best backstage moment was at the annual "Love Ride" concert last year (ZZ Top & Foo Fighters played).

My girlfriend and I were outside the Foos tent, and we made eye contact with Gene Simmons, who was there with his son and daughter. He offered me a piece of gum, and it turned out to be the pack of gum that shocks you when you take a piece out of it. Since I knew that him and I were from similar backgrounds, I called him a "schmendrick" (Yiddish work for "troublemaker"). He looked at me very calmly, and said "Schemendrick, eh?...don't here that one too often". When then talked about our Yiddish relatives for a few minutes....nice fella!

Gene once was in an office with a former coworker of mine. She was 6' something, and he's 6' something... and he said to her (having never met her before) "Imagine the kids".

I am going to sound like a bad person for doing this.... but it does piss me off that C3 is continuing to "hide" information about the interpreters - what agency they're using, who they are and who's interpreting for what show..

They finally just posted the interpreted shows (shaded in blue and yes, PJ is on it...of course ) here at: http://www.aclfestival.com/2009_files/09ASLshowgrid.pdf

You have to go through several links getting to this document. Sigh.

Yet, here on Barbie's agency website, she lists ACL.... http://aliveperformance.com/page5.html

If I were to contact ACL, it would be likely that they would NOT tell me who, just like lollapalooza. That is unfair to people like me....when she doesn't hesitate to share with the public (e.g., media and interviews). Of course, if they were to read this, they'd deny and claim I am assuming cuz I didn't ask. :P I know how they work from two years I've gone through at Lolla.

What's even more interesting is that the sole reason of her being there is to provide service for people like me...and yet she does not even bother to promote in the community.

I searched around and asked some folks in Texas.... they knew who she was but never heard about the event.

Yeah, she hasn't changed.... too bad. tch.

Well... here's the information for you to find her.... and good luck getting backstage with her.
JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
    EV: It's your band.

Yup. You should have heard him on O&A on XM radio. Two hours prior to that interview he apparently was hitting on the interviewer's girlfriend in another interview. He's always trying to "get some" or seem cool trying.

P.S. From what I hear Pearl Jam dont let in strangers backstage unless you know someone that truly knows the band. You cannot buy a backstage pass for Pearl Jam.

Yeah, I've never heard of anyone arbitrarily getting one.
  • ...I can't see why anyone would you want to rage & go see Pearl Jam in a backstage? They don't play "backstagers" their FULL ON "on stagers" & it's even more outrageous!
