Nice pick! I also like Five To One. I think they should go out there and do My Lover's Prayer by Otis Redding

I can't think of a specific tune off the top of my head, but I've always thought that PJ could turn the world on it's axis if they covered a Thirteenth Floor Elevators tune...

    GOD YES!

one of my top 5 bands. :D

would love them to shack up with Lanegan and do LGD too.

In terms if theme songs I would love the Growing Pains theme, also random debate I recently had do you think you could start a cover band and just do TV theme songs? Does one already exist? I think that could be an awesome bar band.

Ed already sang No Surrender with Bruce. I would love to hear them do that. Also any Led Zeppelin. Finally any song they love and want to play.

There is a recording of Ed doing "Next To You" somewhere and it kicks ass. I'm not sure who the band is, I believe some Italian fellows, not sure though. I had it a few years back and completely forgot about it until I saw your post. I pulled it from one of the Italian PJ sites around the time Avocado was set to come out. Look for it. It exists and is well worth finding.

    "Dream On" - Aerosmith
    "Bad" - U2
"What's So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love and Understanding" - Elvis Costello (also love to hear Ed do 'Alison (my aim is true')
    "Suspicious Minds" - Elvis Presley
    "Black Hole Sun" - Soundgarden
    "Dancing Queen" - ABBA
    "Brandy" - Looking Glass
"No One is to Blame" - Howard Jones (i think this is the name of this song - killer 80s tune)

Ed pretty much nails any Who and Springsteen song so any of those would be killer.

    Good choices both.

I know a couple of people have said Eminence Front. I'm the rare Who fan that doesn't like that one (puts me to sleep) but maybe PJ could do something better with it. ;)

    "Dream On" - Aerosmith

I mentioned Aerosmith in my post back on page two. I think almost every other song on their debut album would be better than Dream On. GnR did a cover of Mama Kin, so that's out ... but what about ...

    Movin' Out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_YiwaJp ... re=related

    One Way Street - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-RWx1_4 ... re=related

For all you youngsters that don't know, Aerosmith was a FANTASTIC rock band with heavy blues influences before they went all pop ... every PJ fan should give their first 3 or 4 albums from the early 70s a listen.

I could totally see Mike ripping up a good ol' Aerosmith tune ... he added a "Sick as a Dog" tag to YLB back in 2000 in Mansfield.
