But it sounds like he's on his own. Maybe he can pay some kid to sit in his car while he picks up the tickets. :)

don't see any other way of doing it but by driving as close to the venue as I can and finding parking . . .

Not fun at all, unfortunately. Can you pick up the tickets and just have your friend meet you at the pre-party? Or, go to your friends and then the two of you pick up the tickets together and then go to the pre-party?

My friend and I have to do some backtracking ourselves, as we're taking the Go to Exhibition to pick up the tickets and then we're taking a streetcar and the subway to meet a couple of friends after work for drinks, and then back to the Molson Amp for the concert.

Yeah . . . possibility. But I may just suck it up and drive down.

I guess the other option is the subway to Union, then the Gotrain to Exhibition? Would that work?

Any subway stations in the northeast (south of the 401, or close to it) that have short-term parking?

do you roller blade or bike? ... you can park a bit away and cruise down and back ... lots of parking that's like a 5-10 min blade or bike ...

    thanks for the info.

I may just bite the bullet and park at the venue.... hopefully arrive around 3:30 or 4.

get my tickets, walk to the pre-party, walk to the venue, watch a great show, sit in traffic, drive back to Buffalo.

I would say try and find street parking along King St. around Strachan. It'll be like a 5 min ride from there. Don't forget to bring a lock for when you go to the 10C window.

Thanks for all the help, guys . . ..

I will weigh my options, and make a choice based on what time I get in, what the weather is like etc..... I'm more anxious about getting in to pick up my tix than I am about getting downtown and to the show on time ;)

There may be a pick up/drop off area but you will sit on the lake shore trying to get to them. I live at Lake shore and Dufferin and I can tell you that the lake shore after 4 is balls on the best of days + all the connecting streets are closed now.

The easiest way to get there is by TTC. From any subway stop take the train to Dufferin station and take the 29 bus south. If you want to go to the preparty get off at liberty st ( all stops are announced) and walk east and it will bring you to the brazen head. If you are not going take the bus one stop further to springhurst. Get of a walk 5 min to the venue

If coming from downtown take the King or Queen westbound streetcar and get off at dufferin and walk south to liberty village for the party or 10 min further for the venue.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO DRIVE google directions to 101 liberty st and check the sat view. Large parking lot. It is far enough that you should get a spot but close enough to walk to the party ( 2min) or venue (10 min) It is city run so it is reasonable. There is also a large free parking lot across from the party and you are not planning on staying late you would be able paek there. Liberty village is a bit of a shopping complex so there is free parking.

at this 101 liberty place. Is it paid/legal parking? Is there an event that we know of going on at that 'stadium' there?

That is where I believe I will park. I appreciate the info. That helps me out a lot

Ted Leo goes on at 7:30, right? So, what time would Pearl Jam take the stage, around 9:00?

They always take the stage between 8:45 and 8:50, generally closer to 8:50 but I wold make sure you are at your seat by 8:40 to be safe...

    Okay, another quick question.

I take the GO into Toronto all the time, but I usually crash at someone's house and don't have to worry about getting back home that night. My friend has a 6-month old baby at home, and would prefer to go home at the end of the night.

Problem is, it looks like the last eastbound train leaves Exhibition at 11:00, which seems terribly inconvenient. :) It just seems weird that the last eastbound train is 11:00, but there are still two trains (11:49 and 12:49) that head westbound. Am I seeing the eastbound information correctly, is there really only the 11:00?
