  • LOL, I guess you are allowed a day off, AD ;)
  • Good idea about the lottery draw, gets my vote.

Ames - on the first post of this thread it says...

bold name = confirmed that they are still in need of a ticket after the general sale.

    but also...

Anyone who has not been confirmed, and is therefore in bold on the list, by Wednesday 29th will be remved

So I don't know whether I should be bold or not, but either way I definitely DO need a ticket!

Fanku :) Yes, apart from Pearl Jam I have a little fondness for the cute little HR Giger aliens in all their guises although facehugger is my fave :-)
  • Hmm. At the last count - 26 tickets on Ebay....that's 26 Pearl Jam fans who could be going if touts weren't allowed to practice...

Number lottery is good for me. Be like doing the Grand National sweepstake, but with less chance of winning!

I am still in. Remember I will buy you mucho beer if you happen to pull my name out of the hat!

It's such a shame that the majority of us can't go. I don't know how much I am prepared to pay for a ticket should I go down on the day. I am currently out of work but this is too good a chance.

    Fingers crossed people.
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

26 Pearl Jam fans will still eventually be going, it's just that they'll have been completely ripped off along the way.

I counted 71 tickets up for sale on seatwave this morning. Great, except unfortunately prices ranged from £240-£789
If I knew where it was, I would take you there...

Yeah, kinda know how you feel. I am a freelancer so half of those Ebay / tout costs are nearly what I earn in a month at the mo! Hmm - paying bills / eating vs seeing PJ in a small venue...hmm....rationale right out of the window! ;-)

71 tickets + 26 on Ebay plus how many have already been sold by touts / Double8/viagogo/seatwave? = several hundred out of 1500/2000 tickets to touts = a disgrace...

Thank you for your response in relation to the Pearl Jam pre-sale ticket offer.

In view of comments from customers, we would like to confirm that we have verified transactions with our ticketing provider, and in accordance with the time on their servers, no orders were processed for the Pearl Jam ticket offer before 9am. As previously stated, any issues experienced were due to the popularity of the offer, and the volume of people trying to purchase tickets.

We would like to assure you that we are taking all feedback from customers seriously, and will be addressing any issues with our ticketing partner to ensure that future ticket promotions with major bands run smoothly.

In addition to this morning's figures there are 43 tickets on getmein currently, and 37 on viagogo. That's at least 177 tickets currently on sale through touts, which is probably 10 per cent of all those that went on sale.

As you rightly point out, that doesn't include those tickets already sold, or those that will become available at a later date.

i don't think many more will become available. I don't want to pay through the nose and get a ticket, I can only go to a certain amount, which is far less than what is on ebay too at the moment. After the 10c lottery, the HMV fiasco (having tickets, entered credit card details and then system booting me off) following by the Ticketweb stress, I think the odds of me going to this gig are slim to none!
It's a crying shame that only about five 10c members will be there. The rest will be touted tickets. Gutted.

I'll be honest and admit I hadn't thought of that. Although I would have thought it would be in the interest of the sellers to make it seem like there are as few tickets available as possible if they want to drive the price up.

Even the cheapest tickets are way out of my price range anyway, so barring a miracle I'll be going out for a bicycle ride that evening (and maybe popping in on goddess's solidarity thread when I get back home).

it'd be interesting (no, really it would :ugeek: ) to know how many tickets were on sale via HMV and TicketWeb and how many ended up in the hands of touts, what the percentage was... :x :x :x
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?
