The last I heard, 105.5 in LA gets you latin music. But it has been a while so that could have changed too.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

Howard Stern used to be on 97.1 FM in Los Angeles (it broadcasted his show from NY). One day Stern left to Sirius, and then early this year, 97.1 KLSX FM Talk went from talk radio to a shitty pop music station.

I remember listening to 97.1 FM Talk the last day it was a talk radio station, which was 2/20. I remember the date because my father passed away the next day. I really hate the station it became. The John and Jeff Show moved to 640 AM.

I've actually heard The Fixer on KROQ a few times this week to my surprise.

I mistakenly hit "scan" on my radio and I was shocked to hear The Fixer playing on my radio!! I think it was 103.1...never heard that station before.
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me

try 100.3 the sound...they might play it and it's a pretty good station

"Ya know Judge, my dad never liked you....."

What's "coporate" about not playing The Fixer? I really think it's just not a good song...as do a large amount of people (though I wouldn't necessarily say the majority). And it also really doesn't fit in with most of the stuff (crap) they play on alternative stations today. Whether you liked World Wide Suicide or not, you have admit it was loud and fit in with the format of those type of stations where Godsmack, Green Day, and Linkin Park get the most spins.

In an attempt to be upbeat like WWS was, The Fixer comes off as "poppy." I know a lot of people are sick of that generalization of the song, but i'm not saying it's bad thing that it's poppy or upbeat or whatever. It just isn't the type of song that has the potential for radio success (even though that was the intention of releasing it as a single). It'll debut high on the rock charts like every new Pearl Jam single does, but I think this one will fall off really quickly. Like, "I Am Mine" quickly. That only debuted at #6 on the rock charts. I think The Fixer will debut higher due to more promotion but will fall off just as quickly.

I just think that Got Some had more "rock radio" potential. You're typical listener who tunes in for loud crappy alternative rock like Nickleback will think The Fixer is lame. And even though he likes Nickleback, he's more than entitled to have that opinion of The Fixer.
