I'm not sure Ames has had a chance to do them yet?0

Hi guys.
Sorry I've been MIA for the past 12 hours or so. Went to see some friends then went straight to work at a night shift.
Soooo I've updated the main post with those confirming they still want tickets.
Pegasus - very sorry I missed you off the list. You have now been added and confirmed.
I have to reiterate that it has been decided that no more people are to be added to this list, it may seem unfair, but that is what was decided over the evolution of this lottery idea.
We still don't have nearly enough spares involved. I have talked to those who have said they have spares and have been added to the list, but some are not even 100% that they will be able to sell a spare via this system. So please, ANY fans out there with spare tickets, consider selling them to a fan in need on here.
On a personal note, thank you so much for suggesting that I get the first ticket drawn. In a way I feel like I'm cheating you all for taking priority, so I will do my best to sort out a ticket outside of this draw, that way I'm not reducing anyones chances on this list.
Once again, sorry it took a while to update.
EDIT, something went wrong with my main post edit the first time, so I'm adding the bold again now.0 -
Ames, are there really only 17 people after the 3 tickets? or am i being a moron?
and I still dont see Pegasus on there0 -
No worries Ames, I kinda feel like you really deserved a night off of this forum after everything this week :-)
We definitely don't have lots of offers of spares - a few peeps directly offered spares to their friends on here and I don't think we have hardly any more than when we first started. A few folk have also gone halves / bought tickets on evil Ebay so the list of wants might have gone down tho, not sure. It still seems to me that there is a gap of tickets somewhere - between HMV, touts, 02 and 10c it doesn't seem as all the tickets have gone out - maybe there is something still to come but I doubt it :-(0 -

As I mentioned in the edit of that last post, the last time I tried to edit the main post it failed, but it's worked now.
Consider the main post updated.0 -
sorry, i saw that and thought you had already redone it....getting my hopes up again!!!0

so Ames, 39 people want a single at least with 3 spares maybe
a 1 in 13 chance of getting in still.
Thats not so bad.
Probably better odds than the tenclub lottery0 -
At least we know we aren't going to fail to recieve any email links, get our cards charged three times or get stuck in a made up queue that clearly only works if you have registered previously as a money grabbing tout
Yeah man. If you want something doing properly, ask the jamily instead! We know how to do things properly :-D0 -
Ideally we will have more than 3 spares by next Thursday. I really hope so anyway.
I'm betting there are a few people on the list who are both yet to drop out as they got a ticket through other means, and who have yet to confirm they want tickets. So that number of 39 could either go up or down yet!0 -

Yeah, very true, i think people are so desperate to get in though they would confirm here straight away just to get in.0 -
does anyone know anything at all yet about balcony 1 and why nothing has shown up for that?
can we still hope?0 -
I rang the venue, as far as she knew balcony 1 has been sold already, seems odd to me. Havent seen one sold or for sale anywhere. She says its definitely sold out fully, and there were no more tickets and no info at all was being given to her that there would be a further release nearer the date. She sounded genuine.
I might ring ticketweb and see if I can bully them into telling me more, I might as well totally waste my week.0 -
Hi. I'm still in need of a ticket and agree that should only be one per person [although 2 would have been lovely]. Thanks so much for doing this and in such a fair way. I very much think that Ames_downstroke should automatically get the 1st spare ticket.
So frustrating! missed out on astoria too. would love to see them in such a small venue.
ebay and things like http://www.getmein.com/tickets/pearl-ja ... 43170.html
make me mad!! how can this be endorsed by ticketmaster! is just glorified touting.
anyway, thanks again.0 -
so I rang ticketweb, and they basically said they had no idea if balcony 1 would be sold or if its being left empty!!!! I dont see the first balcony being empty and then the two behind being full.
Theres something fishy here0 -
should have an answer on this if i can the promotor to come back to me0

Ames I know how ye feel about this we all do, I've been scanning this site to see if there were any spares, maybe i'm looking in the wrong areas I dunno...
If there are more spares (and i'd say there are some people without the green disease as it were) how do we get them in here?0 -
ITB are very stern with their response
There are no more tickets for sale at this venue, it is sold out. There will be no more tickets available. They are sold out.
and as to why tickets are not available for sale for this balcony on the internet..
'there are other ways of selling tickets other than the internet'....a direct quote. What does this mean?
She mentioned there are record people and industry people with tickets reserved, and balcony one would NOT be made available elsewhere.
another big bastard!!!!0 -
I caught this a bit too late as I was going to say, as ex/semi industry myself I have been trying to find out about missing tickets :-) Anyhoo I have mailed someone there who will be in the know, but I do not know what kind of response I am going to get! :-) Probably the same as you received pdlowsky above I expect :-)
I was told yesterday by a friend in the industry that industry often have to pay for these things now. Even when I was still getting guest list etc I had to make a contribution. However it could be that for promotional reasons, many seats are for industry - this happens for a showcase if a band need new publishing, new label or new booking - or indeed anything. If seats have been reserved for that purpose, then that is fair enough as a band needs to work and earn money and showcasing is actually how they attract / decide upon new industry deals and colleagues. Also, as someone who worked very hard in the industry on my acts, it was also nice to get a seat at their shows occasionally so it is fair that industry who have worked on Pearl Jam's records, promo etc get to see the band too. Oh - and dont forget - most industry are massive music heads, bigger than you can imagine. PJ have plenty of fans in the industry - often more passionate than you would expect. When I first worked for Epic / CBS who they were on over in the 90's, the place was filled with die-hard PJ fans. It's kind of why you work in the industry in the first place. I'm not sticking up for giving out a whole balcony to industry, for free, believe me, but industry are not *all* bad :-) Having been on both sides of the arguement, I can tell you that most people think industry peeps have a ball - free records, free gigs etc - it's really not as much like that as people think. It's long hours, and you work with ALOT of assholes, believe me! Most people do it for their love of music, in my case I did it because I loved certain acts and bands and that was the perk. You can't always get free tickets or CDs - I was often told "no" when certain acts toured or albums came out - and unless you are up at the top of the ladder, it's hard work, crap pay and very, very cut throatHence why I left :-)
I'm 100% against it if they HAVE allocated so many tickets to freeloaders and hangers on (which does happen) but I can also understand why industry will have got tickets for this, if they actually have. It's probably one of the few perks that the people who do marketing / press / sales for the band in the UK actually get0 -
p.s other ways of ticket selling other than the net - could be by phone? Also, could be an internal mail offer around relevant music industry companies offering an allocated amount for sale to industry? I have seen that happen a few times and it's at the same price as everyone else has to pay0

Agreed Goddess...
I don't know what's so hard about just having a fan club event. Sure they could hire the venue and make it a 10c affair. It frustrates me that the 'fans ticket exchange' Seatwave is selling a ticket for £200ish. Only a handful of 10c tickets were available. I bet half the people at the gig can only name two or three PJ albums.Rock on!!!!
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.0
