I'll dig your grave
We'll dance and sing
What's saved could be
One last lifetime

What does this part mean?

Digging a grave, digging ones grave isnt a happy image, but Ed couples that with dancing and singing and that whats saved could be one last lifetime.

I dont get it. What's saved? One last lifetime? Of what?

It's one of life's great mysteries.

I'm not sure if there is a definitive answer for you . . . since the song has been out for about 24 hours.

It means whatever you want it to mean. That's kinda how music works.
