Word! It took a few listens to light'n up (I was being a PJ snob) and it really has me captured now.

Dude, that's crazy. I was just thinking I should post the same thing. Touched Mr. Greens and blasted this in my headphones and it is very layered.

The more I listen the more I like. That said, am I the only one who thinks this sounds like it belongs on Avocado? Makes me anxious to hear what the rest of "Backspacer" sounds like.

Yeah it has that sound... it very well could have been written during the avocado sessions...lots of stuff never made it on to that album.

I'm actually feeling the opposite. I liked it at first, but after quite a few listens I'm beginning to sour on it.

I am not sure why all the hate for The Fixer??? I am in love with that song! I can't get it out of my head. More than likely thats because I have listened to it about 10 times today! What an uplifting and catchy song. I guess some people want Eddie to be in a more somber mood like the old days, whatever. THE SONG ROOLS!

The only thing wrong with this post is the apology leading in to your statement. I too love the Fixer but find no need to apologize for that. "Fuck the naysayers, cause they don't mean a thing" - different band, great quote

    Yes. I agree 100%.

There shouldn't be such a thing as a guilty pleasure. Despite what many here may lead you to believe, there's many more people that like the song than don't.

I popped it into audacity and slowed the tempo down and it sounds awesome.
