So just in case I have to beg and plead with someone to sell me their treasured spare, how does the deal go down? Is it a meet at the venue and pay the kind person type job? I'm assuming you have to be with them to pick up the ticket so there'll have to be some face-to-face contact right?
you are absolutely right.0 -
For once I wish I was I had an O2 phone, just for that extra chance. Missed out on Astoria and nearly had a nervous breakdown then - my family and friends are more stressed out than me cos I'll be a nightmare til I know if I got any :twisted:0

Yep, I'm in too. Also got my alarm set for 9am tomorrow. Christ I'm a nervous wreck0

Cool, it's just - and no offence meant to anyone, I'm sure we're all trustworthy - I'd hate to book the day off work, travel to London, get outside the gig and my ticket doesn't exist and/or has been sold to someone else... is there any way to ensure this doesn't happen?
I'm thinking so far ahead - I probably won't even get a ticket!0 -
Good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!!from me who have the ticket disease as the all non uk members..hope u all score,,"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."

Well, if you're getting it from someone here - best thing would be to look at post count and interaction with others. I think a lot of us know each other too, anyone I've met from here I would totally vouch for when it comes to things like this, except Dunk0 -
LOL so true - we have all this time to enter the lottery but we all did it on the dot :-) I was so paranoid my laptop might break or the connection might go down or something, I sat on here before 5pm with crossed fingers and toes
))
Good luck everyone!! Really hope we all get ticketsIt's been nice talking to everyone on here!
I haven't had an email from HMV either and cannot find a single link on their site about it :-(0 -

Well, that's fair enough... a bit worrying for me, though! I've been signed up here for 5 years but haven't posted in ages! I've been top class lurker!Hopefully some kind soul might trust me enough...

HI all - I just talked to HMV and was advised the following:
Emails are being sent out to everyone who pre-ordered the album before the deadline. They started being sent out at 5pm and will reach email inboxes by 9am tomorrow apparently at the latest as the pre-sale opens at 9am! I asked what we should do if we do not receive the mail as HMV's helpline closes at 6pm and they said all we can do if the mail does not come through with the link in, is phone them at 9am tomorrow morning!
FIngers crossed all of us that the email gets through!!0 -

Well, I'm in the same situation. I joined five years ago too. I actually had a load of posts on the old board, including about how I met Eddie at the Jools Holland show but those seem to have completely disappeared from my post count for some reason!1992 - London ULU
1993 - London Finsbury Park - Brixton Academy x2
1995 - Reading Festival (with Neil Young)
1996 - London Wembley Arena x2
2000 - London Wembley Arena
2006 - Later With Jools Holland - Reading Festival
2007 - London Wembley Arena
2009 - London Shepherd's Bush Empire - O2 Arena
2010 - London Hyde Park
2012 - London Hammersmith Apollo x2 (EV solo)0 -
I don't think HMV really understand the extent of this!!0

I'm in with the lottery. Looking forward to seeing a HMV email too.
BUT $US145 FOR A PAIR OF TICKETS FOR THE SHEPHERD'S BUSH EMPIRE IS VERY EXPENSIVE...
I can't afford to end up with four, but I am sure I can get rid of the other three on here if need be.
Fingers crossed people.Rock on!!!!
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.0 -
The girl at HMV was unimpressed by my over excitedness
I tried to explain I just wanted to be sure I wasn't going to miss the link but they weren't really too helpful
I just realised I have been on here for 4 years and haven't posted much at all - shame on me!!0 -

£87 for two tickets to a special show like this? Don't think that's expensive!0 -
