yup. i agree with a lot of folks here. get to the show!! talk to your boss & work it out. offer to work overtime, do his laundry, wash his car. :) you can't pass this up. talk to your boss & if there's now way to make it work, then try trading it for another front row at another show. good luck!!!

You HAVE TO find a way to get to this show. Sure, changing your travel plans will cost you an extra $350, but look at it this way: How much would you pay for a front row ticket to the LA show? If you add that $350 to the face value of the ticket, you are looking at a $450 front row ticket. I would be willing to pay $450 for a front row ticket :)

Let's face it. You know that you'll go. You knew when you bought the ticket. All you need to do is justify it to yourself. It's gonna happen, man. Enjoy it!

sell blood, collect bottles and cans, skip meals, look into selling a kidney.

and if you take those bottles and cans to michigan... you would get double than what you would normally get... i know a friend near you that goes to michigan on his normal us postal mail route... could hook you two up!!!

So to give a little background I bought ten club tickets to the LA 10/07 show and the San Diego 10/09. The orginal plan was to travel down to be able to catch just those two shows. But yesterday morning something incredible happend. About 45 minutes after the ticketmaster sale had started I decided for fun to see what tickets were left at the LA shows. So I clicked on the 9/30 and selected 1 ticket. I could hardly believe or comprehend what happend next. It brought me back a FRONT ROW SEAT!!!! At this point I wasn't even sure I could attend the show but there was no way I could pass up a front row! So I bought it. Well thinking about it now it's going to be nearly impossible for me to attend this show. I live in Utah and for me to be able to go it will cost me an additional $350 that I don't have. I doubt I could take more time off work either. Know the last thing I want to do is sell this ticket. I'm sure I'll never again have this opportunity. Any advice/ideas?

You will kill yourself forever if you do not go to the show and enjoy it from the front row.

This might be an incredibly naive question since I've been lucky with bosses (knock on wood), so I've never had to deal with not having time off approved; but if you don't feel like you can ask for the day off in advance, can't you just call in sick the night before/morning of? I mean, people do get sick unexpectedly, and they just can't make it to work that day, no matter how much their boss doesn't want them to miss work.

I'd scalp the fuckers in a heartbeat.
  • As stated - this is a no brainer. You'll regret it for the rest of your life if you don't make this happen.

There are certain things in our lives that we MUST do, and our employers need to be flexible enough to accommodate us in these endeavours. If only employers understood the morale boost, and the extra dedication that would result from such simple concessions, then we would have a lot more lenient bosses out there.

Of course the problem with this is, people take advantage of everything!

I missed a few bands that have since broken up (Veruca Salt being my fav band at the time, was one) and I have vowed never to let work get in the way of such critical events.

Unfortunately, I'm hearing rumour that the boys are touring Down Under in December, and not November (where I booked all my holidays), so I'm gonna have some work ahead of me if I'm gonna make the Aust tour work!!

    JUST DO IT!!!

It was an odd ticket. PJ only sells tickets in pairs, so this was a single.

What made him decide to sell it for "only" $120 dollars?

The auction ended... but I did see it for $1,700....
JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
    EV: It's your band.

I take that back.... did he end it himself?

    Because I don't see a winning bidder. :P

He got caught and is embarrassed?
