I own a picture frame store, so maybe I can help. Is this a signed or special guitar?ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

I think you'd be better served to buy a display case. They make them especially for guitars.0

I would recommend getting a piece of either cardboard or foamboard which is 32"x40" and use that to help lay out items. When custom framing, if your frame "inside" size exceeds 32"x40", you hit "oversize" on all materials (except the frame), so it's good to try to plan on avoiding that.
Lay your guitar to fit on the board, perhaps horizontally, and fill the rest of the spaces with items you like. You could have a few tickets from shows fanned out casually above a horizontal frame, some raised a little off the backing, so they hover a little. Same with some picks. You could take a few shallow-framed photos of you and friends at PJ shows, and a band picture, and passes and put it on the other side of the guitar from the tickets. Doing a shadowbox like this is rather intricate, so be prepared to spend some money.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

I'm looking at having one framed quite soon and need some inspiration!!!
ideas of what to put in the shadow box with the guitar to display would also be welcomed.....

I have 3 guitars framed on my wall (PJ, Nirvana, and STP)...All three cost me about $900 a piece to frame..They all look badass in my bar area...The PJ one has a Matt drumstick and a pick I was thrown from each member in 96 (Ft. Lauderdale baseball stadium show)...
I don't know if you can do a search but a while ago I posted pics of all 3 of my guitars on here..If they cannot be found I will try and post them again..Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......0 -

i honestly have not. How exactly do you frame a guitar?
I think itd be best to use a wall hanger instead of a stand and show it off that wayShows:

thats a good idea, but the display I am putting together will include a promotional band photo, some old guitar picks, some backstage passes, and a brass plate...It'll drop into a shadow box, with a external frame and have some double or triple matting inside to take away the dop in the box to accomodate the guitar.
Seriously though get to a hard rock cafe, good bite to eat in those places along with some awesome rock memorabilia, I always spend a good half hour checking out the stuff on the walls in those places0 -
Edited first post with pics of framed guitar. Thanks to all for their input0
