^ that's what i'd be thinking if they played that."...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”0 -

Yep, some magical musical days.....~I want to realize brotherhood or identity not merely with the beings called human, but I want to realize identity with all life, even with such things as crawl upon earth.~

I would be up for this.
I heard this live back in 1994 when Traffic opened up for the Dead in Chicago.

Did someone ACTUALLY say they "fucking hated" Dear Mr Fantasy??? Im speechless . . .0

Any Traffic tune would be awesome, but Dear Mr. Fantasy would be ideal for PJ. Unless they wanted to do John Barleycorn acoustic......Throw Your Hatred Down0

do you like music?
he must not cuz i was there and it was amazing!
i'd be interested in hearing the boys do 'presence of the lord'0 -
i love, love, love blind faith, traffic, winwood/clapton....amazing musicians, songwriters, singers.
that said, i just cannot imagine ed singing any song that winwood sings. their voices are SO different, winwood at much higher registers...so yea.......LOVE the tune, but just not for ed imo.
btw - same deal with ed singing covers of the police. did NOT work for me. just my 2 cents.
now this:bword wrote:How bout we go way back and do Gimme Some Lovin? I think Winwood was about 17 when the Spencer Davis Group recorded that......and everyone should have some Traffic in their music collection....
i could hear. it's sung so differently from dear mr. fantasy....i could 'hear' ed doing it, and i just think - musically, it's a better fit for ed and pj.
btw - isn't it amazing when you think about it? winwood was 15 when he joined spencer davis group. 15. the guy was/is a musical genius.Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -

Yes I made it to Denver.
Glad to be home.0 -
I think something a little more out there would be cool, maybe an Operation Ivy song or a Minutemen song."If my thoughts, dreams, could be seen, they'd probably put my head, in a guillotine, but it's alright ma, it's life and life only."0

With respect to EV, I don't think anyone can do "presence of the lord" but Winwood. I'd love to hear the boys give it a try though.
everybody knows the secret
everybody knows the score

Anyone who digs this song should check out Big Sugars version.0

Excellent idea. Love Traffic. And love Dear Mr. Fantasy. It's an absolute timeless, classic rock song. Pearl Jam would nail it, I bet.0

or maybe eddie could have a heart to heart with boomer and we get Blind Faith's Do What You Like
could boom pull it off?
would you want to hear it?
I vote for the OP's original request and DEAR MR FANTASY!Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green0 -
