** I feel like a traitor **

I have to apologize to the board in advance .. After trying to get rid of a few posters thru the 10c first, then ebeans . With no takers , I sold my first poster on ebay.. I will not disclose which one or tell any details , but I feel like a traitor....

The only reason being that I have way too many prints that I will never frame . I have given a couple to wishlist auctions at shows , but man do I feel bad..... Oh well. I hope whoever bought it enjoys it more than I can..

    How is that any different than selling it here or on EB? The only difference is you are paying fees to sell through ebay. I don't see the issue.

    Why not ask one of these people that seem to continuously organize pre-parties if they want to buy them and then donate them when the next show comes around... you would have money now and the pre-party organizer can donate it and take the tax write off and the poster ultimately goes to a fan...

    off topic, but anyone that pays attention to my posts will realize i love the "..." while I'm thinking. Sorry if it is annoying.

    You should feel like that...people willing to pay eBay prices, for the most part, know what they are buying and target those items because they really want them. Def. not going to be someone who could care less...

    You also shouldn't feel bad about selling on eBay...I've done it, I'll do it again when i need to clear out some space. I've also hooked people up...the people that suck are the ones that buy 10 posters per show and throw them up on ebay the next day...

    lol. So someone who spends his hard earned money on a poster on ebay could care less? And because they bought it on ebay, they aren't a fan of the band? Hahaha. I'm sorry for laughing and sounding like a jerk but this is funny. Trust me dude, you have nothing to worry about. You didn't do anything wrong.

    i have a feeling that if someone bought a pearl jam poster on ebay, then they are a fan of the band :lol:

    seriously, it's your stuff and you can do what you want with it. would you 'feel guilty' and apologize, feel embarassed, for selling ANYthing else on ebay? i think not. just b/c it happens to be pj posters, big deal....same difference.

    Remeber that there is an entire world of Pearl Jam fans who are not on this board, and that this board is not necessarily reality either...many true fans turn to Ebay to buy their treasures! You are certainly in the clear... ;)

    seriously, i see NOTHING wrong with it, at all. it's like anything else.


    i got into collecting posters from shows i've attended quite a ways after i first started seeing pj live. i even bought a good # of posters at shows for friends - for actual cost, of course - which later i had to pay more for to get on my own. :? haha. if it weren't for fans here, EB and ebay...it would be impossible. and in all honesty, i've gotten some great deals thru ebay, on posters and many other things. no, never for cost....but i've never gotten a poster after a show for cost, ever, no matter who or where i bought from.

    I don't see what the big deal is. You offered them here first, no one bought them. They're yours, and yours to do with what you will. Its not like you bought them and turned around and flipped them on ebay immediately just to make a profit. Ebay can be a convenient outlet at times, and it has certain safety mechanisms built in which can make transactions safer for both seller and buyer.

    I just was never a fan of selling memorabilia on ebay, i felt it was the dark side for poster sellers... like i said , i hope whoever has it now does more with it than i can...
