We can exclusively reveal that Pearl Jam will return to Australia in December for a national tour. Yay!

It will be PJ’s first visit here in three years.

The shows will come on the back of the release of Pearl Jam’s ninth studio album Backspacer, which is due out September 22.

We’ll get to hear the first single off Backspacer, a track called “The Fixer”, on July 21.

Our sources tell us Pearl Jam’s Oz tour will officially be announced next month, but don’t forget where you heard it first! [No, no, no – thank you!]

    That is the most awesome news this year!!!!

    Can't wait for the new album, and especially for the tour! I will be attending as many shows in Australia as humanly possible! :D:D:D

    nah, they will be gone before the big festival like BDO start.


    there is a hawaii date slated for the 16th december. so the aussie tour will be Nov/Dec, much like 06.

    No they're playing in MY backyard. We're on an acre of land so there's plenty of room. :P

    We'll make it like Bluesfest with the band playing under a huge marquee and everyone can pitch a tent.

    Ok, except I'm coming to the show at your place too. I'd have to alert the neighbours about the concert at my place. At lot of them are 60+ and in bed by 10 pm. :lol:

    i've waited three years for this can't wait to see the boys again can't wait for the new album maybe i'll get my shit sorted and see more than one show once is never enough :o
