In Albany last night MANY people were taking pictures (you could see the flashes). The event staff tried to control it in the beginning and then gave up, sort of like their policing of the pot smoking...0

Is there a chance of PJ touring Australia to Promote their new CD?0

GB264487 wrote:Is there a chance of PJ touring Australia to Promote their new CD?
I think you'll see PJ in Australia before the end of 2010. One of the guys in the band said something a few months ago about not playing next year, and I think that's fueled the assumption that there really aren't gonna be many shows next year. The fact is though, when that was said the guys didn't even know when and where they were playing this year, nevermind next. If PJ puts out a new album, they're going to tour to support the album. It's poor band management not to. I think there's a lot more dates coming up a lot sooner than most people expect.2006- Boston I
2008- Boston I+II
2009- Toronto, Philly III+IV
2010- Bristow, Hartford, Boston, Newark0 -

That would be very welcome since I am booking a trip to the westcoast from Europe and one or two PJ shows included would be brilliant
Any sources for this or just "a feeling"?0 -
Hope they announce some West coast dates soon..........Take me piece by piece.....

I dont have any sources (apparently I'm the only one on this board that doesn't know a concert promoter or a radio station DJ) but if you look back at the tour dates for the last 15 years or so (at least since No Code), there's been a pretty expansive tour within a month or two of the album dropping. If Backspacer is coming out in September, history seems to dictate they will be playing somewhere this winter and next spring.
No Code: Album- August 27, 1996. Tour- 9/14/96- 11/25/96
Yield: Album- February 3, 1998. Tour- 2/20/98- 10/31/98 (took April off)
Binaural: Album- May 16, 2000. Tour- 5/10/00- 11/6/00 (took July and September off)
Riot Act: Album- November 12, 2002. Tour- 12/5/02- 7/19/03 (took January off)
Self Titled: Album- May 2, 2006. Tour- 4/20/06- 12/9/06 (took October off)
By this logic, PJ will tour this winter, throughout next spring and into next summer, taking a month or two off in between.2006- Boston I
2008- Boston I+II
2009- Toronto, Philly III+IV
2010- Bristow, Hartford, Boston, Newark0 -
